France Switzerland and Italy are the winners of the running order (though I'm certain the EBU is underestimating Ukraine and that might hurt France), Malta and Bulgaria are the biggest loosers.
Totally unacceptable to put Albania second again. The anti-eastern bias of the producers is evident here. Belgium and Portugal were much better fits for that spot and I don't believe that both (or either for them in fact) did that amazing in the semis to grant them the right of avoiding the death spot.
How is Bulgaria the biggest looser with this draw? 😀

I think that Malta will win because it's the song with less personality amongst the favourites. I'm confident on Ukraine televote blasting but Malta is very jury friendly + the beautiful story of her winning junior and main esc, and will get decent televote.

It's the earliest possible they could get, as they would not put them as early as 14th or 15th. It's not a bad position because it's 2nd half but if they wanted to boost them they would have put them a bit later.

The betting odds from past 15 years show that Malta was always super hyped by the audience and the bookies, but would end up not even close to top 5.

IMO the juries voted once for Netta, and they will not repeat that again.

Though I have my fingers crossed for Destiny after all the fat shaming she had to endure and the burden of carrying a song that is not her age appropriate.
There is obvs truth in what you are saying but currently I don`t see any indication to write off Malta - quite the contrary actually. This will most certainly end up in the overall Top 3 for multiple reasons:
- She is still third in the odds
- She is doing fairly well on both Youtube and Itunes which indicates a strong(ish) televoting result
- Anyone but Malta winning the Juries would be a massive shock tbh

the televoting won't be determinant regarding the winning song. juries will be though

YT votes - had more than 1 millions view in 1 day a month ago on a standard video clip. That is not credible. It is manipulated views count.

Malta winning juries seems unbelievable next to France and Swiss C. Mission impossible.

In a not very serious video call to ORF's radio station Ö3, BBC's Richie Anderson asked for 12 points for the UK. History shows the background. It's a Eurovision love story between Austria and UK. The song contest statistics show: Austria has awarded the most points to British songs in 65 years of song contest finals and our songs have also received the most points from the UK.

this year the jurys have a lot more options than in average years - france, portugal, switzerland, malta, sweden (as always) and maybe also italy.
for me it is totally open who make the jury top3 in the final.
personally I think that the ukraine is also involved in this, because they have it all - modern song, perfect staging and a very good voice, too. xqueenbitch
p.s. ukraine again - remember netta - has got a lot of jury points with a little bit childish song and stageacting and won.

maybe they have won semi 1 with some extra jury power when i take a look where malta, lithuania and ukraine have ended at the final running order.xcookie

I highly doubt it, maybe they won the jury vote due to the jury obvious favoritism of Sweden, but I don't see it as a public magnet enough to get them in a combined #1.

If juries completely downvoted other entries that were popular with the viewers, in particular Ukraine and Russia that I think were top.3 in the televote but not jury bait, but nah don't see it.

i just don't know why juries are showing blatant favoritism for Sweden. The entry was bland and forgettable af. Why Sweden and not an other country?

Because the Swedish composers sell their songs to e.g. Malta.

And who would buy a song which cannot pass the jury??

Therefore the juries are composed of 5 members, 1 is only a credible musician, and the rest - "industry professionals" 😂😂😂

Malta drawn to perform 6th and given their televote scores from the previous years, Je Me Casse has to have quite a huge jury win in order to secure first place. Especially when there's so many televote bait coming later during the show.

Their best bet would be to hope other countries have huge jury/televote differences as well, but it's looking lots like Destiny is about to get John Lundvik'd

I think countries like France, Bulgaria or Switzerland also have a realistic chance at winning the jury vote but yes Malta will do with juries for 100%.

1. Many Swedes throughout the years have been on high positions within the EBU and the production, including the new executive supervisor that is Swedish.

2. Swedes are involved alot in the contest with songwriters/composers, stage directing (a bunch of the entries this year use a Swedish stage director).

Sweden isn't getting all the jury love because of our entries, more because of who we are in this contest and our involvement in it, with that said we also send jury-bait entries (generic, middle of the road, Pop in English). It's generally problematic that juries go for that but they do.
