I think they greatly underestimated / underreported the number of cases in Wuhan during the initial outbreak but other than that their current numbers look legit. There is a lot of foreigners living in China that can confirm, the hospitals have no covid-19 patients there. The life is pretty normal there right now. Sure, being a Big Brother country helps when it comes to controlling all of that.

4 dancers is the perfect number. if we had 5 or 3, then one side would have more than the other and we'd have no symmetry :cool:
2 is also acceptable, but 1 just looks weird and/or cheap.

Maybe there just is not a big motivation for most countries to win in 2021, because of budget constraints due to pandemic but also online streaming chips away from broadcaster's budgets a lot. If you watch ORF via a mobile provider through 4G on a screen that doesn't allow for cable or satellite TV, you don't need to pay the fee. And that's a huge trend.

Agree, 2016 felt more like an Apple iPad infomercial with all the blue, teal and purple,
2017 selfies were horrible, and 2019 was quite generic. So they opted for triangles because there always needs to be a shape in the centre of everything. But, TWENTY EIGHTEEN was perfection. I am so tired of lazy LED visuals, and this year, there seems to be an abundance of them. I love everything about 2018, the host city, the hosts, the songs, the logo, the stage, it was wonderful.

They would also have to make some holes for eyes or they'd kill one another on that thing. Ice cream cones with eyes would be creepy :D

Agree! The "Melodifestivalenization" needs to stop, I agree with the changes they did with voting though, but the other adjustments to MF were just bad. The only change I would like to see (although logically not this year) is raising the limit of people on stage somewhat.

I don't trust EBU when they say something is a "one-off" thing though.

It really works on the video, it sells the song very well. I don't know how people will distinct Moldova from many similar acts with 4 dancers, similar background pattern and hot girls/guys having similar dance routines.

Yes! 6 is really not enough for many acts and stages are often too big anyway and they swallow acts.

This! Just strange they added changes to create less transparency (like producers choosing the running order) but changes that are long overdue like amount of people not? xshrug
