ok,ok,ok...you mean this 80s?

This song is REALLY good !

But this is actually pretty melancholic for 80s pop...

Anyways I'm a huge sucker for 80's music in general so maybe that's why I'm totally backing up Denmark this year (plus it's really fun to have a Scandinavian language on the ESC stage which is unusual and the first time for Danish in nearly 25 years!!!).

I want what @Ezio had today. Where can I order that? 👍
:ROFLMAO:

One part of me wants to be on that ESC United Panel so bad, but the other part of me acknowledges that I am way too sillly and the viewers would get super annoyed with me and cancel their subscriptions and send death threats to Matt. So I need to bow out. .:ROFLMAO:

I am just a happy person with a small ego.

I have to say, my previous answer to you with "YT trending" cracked me up so hard, that I cried laughing.

yeah - ok - living the 80s in my twentime - sexy discos, cool pubs open until early in the morning - casual times - very fine pop (rock not so 'cause too much hairmetal ) music - will never come back.
...i am still in tears that clara was wasted in sweden with her lovely schwedenschlager.

I feel oddly connected to that decade and I feel the nostalgia although I am too young to have experienced it really.

I wouldn't call Clara schlager though, it's more contemporary vispop (which is very Swedish but something different from schlager).

In Greece's staging are those shadows supposed to be there? It doesn't really look good.
This is the major issue I have with the performance. It's like they haven't finished off the green screen technique and have just left in the shadows for the dancer's "hidden" body parts - these kinds of things should be tidied up in the rehearsals surely. Unless they just don't have powerful enough digital effects to get rid of them fully...

I'm worried again. Austria again a fake qualifier.🤣

Maybe that’s exactly one reason why it puts me off, apart from a very monotonous melody.

I really loved „When we‘re old“ from Lithuania which was so so good and uh- so emotional, because it was simple (lyrics) and raw and from the heart while Bulgaria seems to be so staged.
We think alike! When I first heard Bulgaria's song, I instantly thought of leva's song. That one was so much more impactful and beautiful!

Greece: its just too bad and cheap and i dont get the meaning of all this
Yes. Even if it is meant to look retro it still looks bad - very unpolished. This can kill it.

However she can sing and for 99% she will sing really well her song.

The second semi is probably going to be one of the most exciting ever. Ok, there are 3-4 safe qualifiers but so many open spots and I wouldn’t even count Iceland as a sure qualifier now that they aren’t going to perform live. So that means a lot of the many less popular songs will qualify and these are usually the ones people are going crazy about and voting like crazy for their entry to help them qualify. I can’t even imagine when the fans of each camp are arguing which song was more deserved to qualify. Party incoming tomorrow! It WILL be a bloodbath but not because of the songs but because of us.

I don’t see a bloodbath. It’s like semifinal 2 of 2018 but a bit better. No winner but two or three Top 10 songs for the Final and lots of filler material.
