Lisbon is most likely going to be the host city, with Meo Arena being the venue. They'll probably have to compete with Porto though, but I don't see a suitable arena in there.

My question is: how about Festival da Canção? Will it happen? Will it not happen?

I might not like this particular entry, but I am happy for Portugal because you were often underrated and overlooked in the contest, plus it's a very nice country with nice people, relaxed and welcoming, and I wouldn't mind coming back to beautiful Lisbon

RTP had already confirmed FdC 2018, and had already started contacting composers and everything. They also stated that the format was under study as well (they were considering using a mix of invited composers and open selection).
I can see why some people think a internal selection would be more viable for 2018, because of the extra cost of hosting Eurovision, but I think RTP will manage to hold both events well!
