This is so great: It doesn't matter if Portugal or Italy will win: The winning song will not be sung in English.

at this point i'll be happy with a top5. it has been an amazng jorney for salvador and for Portugal! I've been following eurovision for 15 years and I never felt this excitement around a portuguese entry, not even in 2008.

While I really hope for Portugal or Italy (or Hungary), don't assume Bulgaria is out of the race. Who are those always voting for Russia going to vote for?

I think many people will like Belarus as well. My father does (I do too btw :) )But it´s Portugal I have fallen for xheart (And Austria ofc xheart  )

I think so too despite the death spot. I think the eastern televoting will be biased around Armenia, Ukraine, and of course Bulgaria. (I think Ukraine will do better than most think, they got the staging right.) Portugal and Italy may be their second hand votes, which is a HUGE advantage! I think Bulgaira will dominate with the eastern juries way more than with the eastern televotes.

Yeah, I think you´re right.
I think Norway will either give the jury 12 to Sweden or Bulgaria. I doubt they will like Italy sadly, but one can be surprised. I will vote for Portugal and so will my parents, but I don´t know what others will do.

I however will be very disappointed if it gets only a top 5.
This Portuguese entry is what Eurovision means, genuine piece of music with identity performed by a real non-plastic artist. Indeed, Eurovision is also a lot of fun and kitsch, but particulary this year I can't accept another result but winning.
Another outcome will make me sad, I like sone other songs , but none of them at the level of Amar pelos dois.

Amar pelos Dois is a great song, and I really really want my country to finally win this competition, but I'm just not seeing the nordic countries or the eastern/balcan bloc voting en masse on Portugal

It is good for the competition that there are three favourite songs very near for the trophy.
Let see what is happening. we have some idea about the reactions regarding Portugal and Bulgaria
but still Italy has to perform. It has not been exposed to the wide esc audience ( only to esc fans )
I really love Salvador's song, not that much Bulgaria ( last night vocally was not in point )
Why so much people are getting the hype for Portugal just now. Why people, odds, polls, youtubers spotify, itunes etc.
didn't noticed before this gem? His preformance in FoC was the same as the one during first semifinal.
Why his FoC video on youtube had not that much success as the semifinal's one?
There is a reason. Because he was presented to the wide audience during the first night. And this counts a lot.
Now all the songs have been presented, with the exeption of the 5+host. We still don't know what the juries think about these 6 songs.
II really hope it could be between Italy and Portugal. And i don't believe in running order against Italy putting it 9th. Why Eurovision should damage Italy
giving advantages to Portugal and Bulgaria?????? It s a big country ( and contributer ) with a very strong musical identity and culture, and I would think that it could be better for Esc producers that once in a while a big 5 wins to keep them tight to the contest otherwise it would be a mess if big countries smell conspiracies and start to leave the competition. The only big country where the tv viewers nr are increasing is Italy.

I will xheart
But I think this is a song the juries might like, but I guess the jury 12 from Norway will go to Sweden... *shock....*
(I am not hating on Sweden btw xheart I just don´t think the song is that fantastic xheart )

Alos, while we´re at it, I think the juries from the former yugoslavian countries will vote for Croatia. It seems like a big possibility.

I'm not sure why you felt the need to come into the Portuguese thread and literally call it the worst song of the year. Seems a bit attention seeking to me, but OK.
I have the right to comment the songs from each countries.
My comment for this entry is nothing more but WORST ENTRY OF THIS YEAR.
You don't need to agree with me but I expect to respect my opinion.

You knew that going into a song thread and calling it the worst of the year was going to get a bad reaction. Obvious trolling is obvious, regardless of your opinion.
