Your first being Porto right?

Amsterdam :p And not (only) because I'd like to see the contest being hosted in my own country but because everytime I go there I fall in love with the city. But I've been to Porto last year and I loved it too, it must be somewhere in my top 10. As I said before, I love Portugal, the cities, the people, the culture, the language.. probably my favourite European country to visit.

And that's why Eurovision NEEDS Portugal.

I actually think is a great draw, later than :it:, surrounded by OTT performances and Bulgaria comes after 2 strong acts that could cancel each other. I will sleep better tonight :D

Both Conchita and Salvador share a beard xheat (me being overly optimistic)

On a first quick and excited analysis, I really think the draw is great for us!

My analysis is plain and simple: Portugal will definitely stand out in the first half.

Bulgaria, our big rival right now, is perfoming after Belgium and Sweden, and followed by France. I don't think it is a good draw for them... They will obviously see each other cancel votes from one another (France not that much, but Belgium and Sweden, two fan favorites, will do it)

Best draw that Portugal could have hoped for. Producers obviously respect this. Bulgaria will likely be hurt by being around strong songs. Not the first time that big entries next to each other have ended up cancelling each other out.

Offtopic:

I thought 13th was the pimp slot in 1st half. Does it mean Crotia won today's semi?

Yes, Portugal's odds are climbing, just when they needed to. Italy in a bit of trouble, but I disagree with mickz. Italy can still easily win this. Italy VS Portugal is still the main fight, but obviously Bulgaria will have a major say.

I didn't say Portugal was a sure winner. I just said we would stand out. But I obviously want the best for my sweet Portugal and Salvador!

Wurst's spot. Many winners came from that position. The producers made the needed efforts that shows respect for our song (winner of semi final, ofc). Strange how Croatia finnishes the 1st half instead of Italy. For me it doesn't make much sense (unless Croatia did better than expected). And Bulgaria's position will depende from the volition of people that may become tired with so many middle in the road entries and not pay attention. That may happen.
In short, a terrific draw and optimistic for our chances. Gosh my heart is pumping fast. So excited!

In the semi-final, I wanted position 9 and I got it. Now, I wanted something between 10-13 and I got it. :) Once again, Azerbaijan next to Portugal. That is nice.

Portugal has its momentum now and deservedly so.
Everyone knows Francesco and "Occidentali's Karma" already that is pointless to watch the 100th performance with a lot of videos around (from Sanremo, to official video, to ESC edit video, to pre-parties, to rehearsals and the final SF1 clip). While for Salvador we just had his NF performance, no parties, no true *rehearsals* and just the SF1 performance.
Take also this in account.

Portugal is in 11 Position !! I see a good position, in my opinion this does not have a great power !!!

Australia 2016 (2 place --- 13 position)
Sweden 2015 (1 place --- 10 position)
Austria 2014 (1 place --- 11 position)
