Ooh, a national final that airs unusually late at night? Making it 8AM for me? Wasn't planning to watch the Portuguese semis but I've gotta be up at about that time for the next week anyway so I guess I may as well give them a look!

It airs right at the beginning of primetime in Portugal - 9PM. Unfortunately for European fans we're behind 1 hour but I guess that's good for our Australian friends

And yeah... Norway 2016 wasn't that good. It was meh. And I rather have something more "Portuguese" with a modern twist than something super comercial that could be done by anyone anywhere.

Although I'm not a big fan of those (personally at least. They will never be in my Spotify playlist.) I agree they could have worked in ESC. Absolutely!!

Go to page 13, post #121. There's a nice summary of the genres of each entry there. It doesn't seem like we'll get anything like those two songs this year.

No, no. Not this year. I think the traditional element will be more present in the ballads. The uptempo songs will be a little bit more commercial I believe. So, no traditional pop with Portuguese guitars this year!
