I am surprised, I was expecting less. Still, if RTP promoted the show more, and especially produced it better, like they do with The Voice or Got Talent, it could do so much better! The show was very boring, and the quality of the songs was low, RTP can do much better, but they don't even want to try. Either that or they just see FdC as an old-fashioned thing, they don't try to modernize it.

We had high hopes for Diana... She is an amazing and powerful rock singer.

This is not necessarily bad. "My number one" didn't show even a 1% of the vocal potential of Paparizou and voilà. I'd also hope that some songs, "Dancing in the rain" for example, would have not explored so much of the vocal abilities of the artist....

In the end a song can work or not, no matter if the artist is screaming high notes and all that

Didn't have time so far to listen to the songs....
Yola is my first one to listen to: great vocals, drama. That's what I like!
Leonor: seems to me like the one who did the arrangements had another idea of the song as the singer.... that song doesn't work...
Gonçalo: has the guy something in his throat? gives the impression, that he really has to work out the notes..... The hook line is not all bad, but this is too mediocre to stand out....

So - from the three qualifiers so far, the only one who could compete with the entries we already know is Yola for me....

Rita's song sounds for me - "different". But this is a typical example where different is not really good....
Adelaide sounds like a great singer, but the song..... can't see anything special in it.

About the first semi: Tbh, after thinking a bit, I only deeply dislike one of the qualifiers. The composers' choice ofc. :?

I wasn't really impressed with any of the songs, to be honest.

Leonor/Gameiro song is ok, probably my favorite from the lot, yet i'm still lukewarm about it. It doesn't stand out and it's something i've heard a dozen times before.

Yola. Don't like the song, it's dated rather than strong or emotional. Yola's voice just gives me the creeps. Not my cup of tea at all.

Gonçalo: Nice tune, but not for eurovision and not for 2015. The Singer has the charisma of a boiled potatoe.


Hope there's something different in semi2... but given the campaign around Yola's song, i predict we'll be stuck with it. Yawn.

Indeed. It annyos me, because most people won't see the full potential the songs have. Hopefully the video of our eventual entry will have the studio version and not the live version.
