Re: PORTUGAL 2014

I think they should change and reorganize NF a bit, it was too old fashioned, they should send in English and different genre!

@ A-lister

HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!! :)

I've asked you smth in Bulgarian thread! :D

No freaking English! It's not Anglovision for Christ sake, you want English for all countries xgaah

xwave back , I answered that ;)

Bosnia would be great. Like Turkey they usually made the eurovision experience much more interesting. I'd switch them for the UK, Spain, Switzerland, San Marino (oh dear xfaint), Denmark or, yes, I'm sorry to say Portugal, any day. They're very great misses, those two.

I liked your comment only because you wrote that for SM in brackets!! I want SM in, but not with that boring bug anymore..it's becoming totally ridiculous, and only insane ppl want her 3 years in a row, that is sick! She should give up before she collapses on ESC stage forever! xfaint

They have actually and it was dreadful

The less countries "trying" in English the better is my overall motto for ESC...

That's because the song was beyond awful
I don't mind us trying in English, as long as the song is great.

I just hope RTP will change everything completely, but I doubt they will, since the people in the delegation will probably be the same as always...so I expect the same 'in-house', 'friend of delegation members composers' to participate in the selection and we end up with an horrible or at most decent song as always.

Re: PORTUGAL 2014

Very happy to see Portugal return. If I were to choose one single country to win, I think I would wish for Portugal to do it. After such many participations, and with such bad results.... Besides, I would be overly thrilled to go to Lisboa for the ESC!!!

Still, I may have been a bit unfair regarding San Marino. They had after all a wonderful debut song in 2008, even if it wasn't performed at its best and didn't translate into votes. Who would have thought they would launch themselves into this valentina madness later on?
2008 was also the year for Portugal btw, so we're not totally awful.

Anyway, what one would really really like in eurovision paradise was to have 50+ countries competing in may and one wouldn't be too fussy about who they were, where they came from or what kind of dirge one is used to get from them xhmmm.

Thankfully not only pop songs are worthy of winning.

Okay now's better  I agree though, I hope our entry this year will be much better than in our previous participations.

Huh? So Portugal should import a generic entry from Sweden in English or what?

Eurovision is NOT just a pop contest...
