Andrej Babić actually wrote "Canta por mim" for Manca and they wanted to send it to EMA 2010, but decided to send "Tukaj sem doma" instead. The rest is a history

OH! I didn't know that! For some reason, Manca's "version" was re-released much later! I remember Nejc wanted to send it to FSC in back in 2011

How complicated the history of this song is!

I do resent your comparison as Samanta Tina and me don't really get along, lol, but I think you're basically right. Mind you though, Catarina was voted first in 2010 by the public and not eurofans alone. Of course, there was no Emanuel back then and I don't believe those Suzy voters will be busy visiting obscure polls.

Yes, after EMA 2010 she decided to promote "Tukaj sem doma" as a single and after that she released "Stereo naboj", so she actually covered "Canta por mim" in 2011.

2) "Mea Culpa" - Catarina Pereira 294 (52%)

3) "Nas Asas da Sorte" - Zana 145 (26%)

4) "Sonhos Roubados" - Raquel Guerra 39 (7%)

5) "Quero Ser Tua" - Suzy 64 (11%)

Out of ESC Portugal

What I meant was that Suzy's voters will probably be old, some of them illiterate, no internet for them. Plus, Emanuel's "friends" will be too busy voting for the real thing, they're not bothering with polls

I'm almost sure the winner is either Catarina or Suzy. And I pray to God it's Catarina. Suzy is the trashiest thing that I have seen in a while. It's horrible, it's a representation of what's wrong in the Portuguese music market. She would deservedly finish last in the SF, whereas Catarina can qualify to the final, if the performance is worked on. I don't think she could finish that high in the Final, but who knows, this year is very open.
All the others are very bad, and I think not a single one of them can qualify. Maybe Zana, but I doubt it!

Portuguese ESC fans should start a site to compete against OikoTimes, they should call it OitoTimes

Anyway, Rui's song isn't as bad as I originally thought it was. Him or Catarina winning would be the most ideal. Though I would feel bad for Catarina, she would be losing to another ballad, then it would be like 2010 all over again. At least then, Filipa's song was actually really good.

I also think this song, with the right staging, would be the one out of this five to do best in ESC. As far as one can try and predict the unpredictable. Unfortunately it's got no chances.
