VAL wasn't offered by the Lukashenko regime TV as political retribution for them standing up against human rights violations, Poland might have some issues on their own and TVP these days are questionable, but don't compare it to Belarus. Standing up for VAL was more a solidarity with the oppressed and not just "it should be fair if they got offered to go again".

I already mentioned on the other page that we don't know what's going on behind closed doors. Maybe Alicja declined for whatever reason? Maybe Alicja has been in fact picked but can't say anything due to contractual reasons? We don't know really

In the end of the day I hope we get a good song from Poland.

I dont compare with Belarus, but I have right to state my opinion and I stand behind it, of she is not offered by TVP to take part for Poland in Rotterdam or to take part in Polish NF if organized, it is for complain..

I didn't say you didn't have the right, and I agree that she should be the first to be offered, I however don't agree with comparing it to VAL because the situation is something completely different. This is more like a Russian or Cypriot situation probably.

I mean do we know for a fact Little Big were offered? (I'd be very surprised if they weren't but I also haven't read any official source confirming they actually were).

As for the Cypriot case I also haven't read any official source confirming he got offered, in fact it looks more to me as the Cypriot broadcaster were disappointed with the lukewarm response in 2020 and went with another act.

Oh and then we have Denmark who from my understanding didn't even offer their 2020 winners to take part in a NF (which to me is the lowest of them all), I think in Norway Ulrikke declined herself though?

I am not bothered if they pick a new artist because the new artist or rather the song are better, after all they have to pay for this so it's obvious they want to send something better, I'm not however happy when they pick a new artist that is worse than the previous one. And the only broadcasters that do deserve hate for not sending the previous artists are Belarus and Denmark, the treatment of their artists was appalling.

I agree with this statement, I mean part of me thinks it's at least the morally correct thing to at least offer the 2020 act to have their shot again (either internal selection or via NF if that's how they were originally chosen), but if the previous acts don't come up with good enough entries and something better comes along, then I also think the broadcasters shouldn't have to be stuck with them. I mean if you want to be offered the chance again, you also need to deliver and can't expect to have the privilege while offering something lazy

Of course they do, I read Little Big statement and I watched Russian NF, they performed there.. They were obviously offered to take part.. My principles apply to everybody..

I pointed out once for VAL when they were threated like that, just like I pointed out once now for Alicia, I dont like to just sit here and go on and on on the same issue, now please do not accuse me for what I did or not...
