We will know about our "be or not to be", at end of November-December.

Re: POLAND 2014

In my opinion this polish songs are very good to Eurovison ADA SZULC & DJ ADAMUS - 1000 MIEJSC - YouTube and Patrycja Markowska - Dzien Za Dniem (Videoclip) - YouTube

What do you think of these songs.

Both songs are dreamlike. Shoegazing perhaps? I like them both despite I guess the lyrics have a major importance. None of them would stand a chance in ESC BMO. ESC is about catching your attention in 3 minutes on the first listening among ~40 other contributions. SImply no time for dreaming. :p

I want a song in Polish, because we are going to stand out.
Are you enjoying the Polish language?

You should send a song in Polish yes!

I've said it for years, but a song like this would probably be ideal for Poland in ESC:

^ It's a good blend of timeless beautiful melody, local motives, good singers, native language.

I don't think the song language has any significance in its own merit, may it be Polish, Rhaetian, Icelandish or Romani. Using a language other than English usually means that most people don't understand the lyrics. So, Polish rap is pretty pointless BMO. :D However, I think an unfamiliar language can sometimes add a mystical atmosphere to a song, for example Slovakian Horehronie, giving it an extra dimension.

Yes, I do! Go for a song in Polish!

I know many people who think that its is a very harsh-sounding language (like German, in their minds) but I guess they don't know what they're talking about: if they would just put aside English for a moment and stop considering all Eastern-European languages sound the same... :? Such ignorance and close-minded attitude annoy me, especially because they tend to watch Eurovision every year.

Anyway, it sounds nice to me, totally love the musicality of the Polish language. "Jestem" was in my top 10 mainly due to the great rhythm brought by the sound of the words. Had Magdalena gone for the English version, it wouldn't have appealed to me so much.

Polish language is not easy to sing, but it is original. Poland may introduce energetic song in 2014. I think the return is real.

Re: POLAND 2014

Wut? xcrazy Polish has static stress, how is that musical?

I think some people aren't that close-minded... I for one can find beauty in many languages.

German is often considered harsh, but it's one of my favorite languages.

Danish is quite ugly (but charming) spoken, but works very well in music.

Some people find Hebrew harsh, I also find it one of the most beautiful languages.

That may be true, but that still doesn't change the fact that Polish isn't a musical language.
German is one of my favorite languages as well :D

AdelAdel, who came up with that idea that Polish isn't a musical language? what does that even mean? that it doesn't sound well with music?

Imo not only English, Spanish and Italian are made to be sung. "Jestem" proved it.
By the way, French doesn't have any lexical stress either, is that an issue? I don't think so.

Telewizja Polska (TVP) said that us absence in 2012 and 2013, was caused only by financial problems. They also is interested in participating. In September, TVP will have a meeting with representatives of EBU. Official decision will be known in autumn.
