There is nothing particulary 'Polish' in 'My Slowianie'.

1) It's sung entirely in Polish (not sure how that can be seen as not "Polish" )
2) It includes folk elements
3) The lyrics are pretty much an ironic take on Polish and "Eastern/Slavic" contemporary stereotypes and pretty much a mid finger to "the west"

Clearly you and I are talking about two different songs

Musicwise this has nothing in common with Polish ethno music. It's just random and very stereotypical view of Slavic (? I am not even sure about it) folklore in general.
And if 'the west' thinks that's how looks contemporary village in Poland, it means that 'the west' is retarded.

The other think is that Slavic identity in Poland is relatively weak in comparison to other Slavic nations.

I don't think it really matters, the song has become a huge hit in USSR and it's classic right now, i'm sure 99% of people don't know it's actually a polish song

Not semi 2 because Poland are in the same pot as San Marino and Italy have been granted permission to vote in semi 1

We have semi final 2, with UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria voting. Also Lithuania nad Belarus ( but I wouldn't count on many votes from them ). Greece always qualify (right?), Norway and Georgia almost always (1 miss), rest is "beatable".

Now we must help ourselves and our chances with the SONG!

If it wasn't for first part of the semi, this draw would be near perfect...
