If it was under the old system, Poland would've ended up in 7th or 8th place. Alas, despite getting 12th place with the jury and 3rd with televoting in the semi final, they still managed to qualify. Some say the jury did their jobs, I say the jury is just crazy to not take the song itself (composition, lyrics, arrangement, etc) into consideration. Poland made a bold attempt this year to mix folk with modern style, and to me, that's what matters in the end. Ask me to rank this song, and I'll gladly put it high on my list, without a doubt.

That's it. As always I have mixed feelings about the juries evaluation. Whereas I don't understand them ranking Poland and Switzerland so low, I'm imeasurably thankful to them for clearing the contest of dirgy stuff in so many other instances.

Actually San Marino was pretty high on televotes of the first semifinal (blame that damned sanmarinese diaspora! ) and juries were dragging it down. Portugal would have qualified in spite of Azerbaijan, instead, according to the televote.
