Poland in the 90's (bar 1999) was a really interesting ESC country, I dunno what happened after that.

Some of the entries sent in the 00's/10's had potential but were sounding very demo-like and amateur-ish.

2004-2009 and 2009-2010 could have all worked out better if they'd been revamped and polished some for ESC. 2011 was pretty ready to go, but yeah part of its failure was the live performance.

I do not mind Pop but so far Polish television has failed to provide any really good entry in that genre whilst 95/96/97/03/05 songs were all good to excellent.

Yeah, only part of its failure. You may add bad camera work, first song to go on stage, Polish lyrics (which many people do not find appealing unfortunately) and the viewers' inability to vote for Poland at the beginning (same for Norway, Albania, Armenia and Turkey). Some things were messed ud that night. I can't believe people thought Magdalena was so bad to be ranked last, especially behind Portugal.

Like I said before, I would like to see Dawid Podsiadło or Enej, or maybe Kamil Bednarek. But the sad thing is that they are not the kind of artists that would consider ESC participation. As to our entries in the past... for me of course 1994 is the best, all the others until 1999 also good, 2011 a great pop song, others ok, 2005 and 2006 nightmares. :eek:

2011 was a bit too generic for my taste. It didn't deserve last, but it didn't deserve qualification either.

If :pl: 2005 had made the cut we also wouldn't have had that undeservingly in the Top-5 finishing Latvian snoozefest there. xcry1 2005 results were a huge disappointment.

Hmm, okay, I respect your point of view. To me 2005 was awful. The 2011 entry was a good pop song but you never know what happens on the day of the performance.

I'm happy they insisted keeping it in Polish, the English revamped version was kinda lame.

However, as you point out, everything else went bad during the show it seems. Such a pity, since it deserved much better as far as the song goes.

Such an indecisive attitude. It's really starting to bore me. I wish they would hurry up and decide - although with this current attitude, i don't see a return. I guess their excuse will be lack of interest from the Polish public.

Unfortunately "Sistars" split this year, but actual sisters - Natalia and Paulina formed their own new project called Archeo Sisters.

I miss these times, the band was just awesome....
