Tbh it is a disgrace that Latvia hasnt´ got any points.
Screw OGAY.

Agreed. And whilst they may be no masterpieces, Malta and Lithuania deserve a couple of points too.

I think a lot of people will vote Australia because of their first time of entry so a certain top 5 in my opinion. I still don't get what all the fuss is about with Estonia...Sweden it's mainly for the graphics as opposed to the song and Italy...well eye candy. Enough said

Lithuania will sure get a better placement in the real contest. Malta may gather a few points - but I think the OGAEs are not too wrong about this entry.
As for Latvia? I still think they will struggle to go through to the final. It is no surprise that the OGAEs are not voting for them - but I dont see neither the public nor the juries voting for them either... at least not to the extent needed.

Objection!
I might be an outsider on this but I would not vote for Australia because they are as far away from Europe as a country can be, so they just don't belong in the ESC (just my personal opinion of course). (I do not like the song very much either...)

Exactly why i think Australia will do better in the real contest! Even though it seems many fans agree with you, i actually think the general televoter will actually think Australia's participation is a rather fun thing. And nothing negative. I both hope and think so. ..

I think most people will be like me "wth is Australia doing here". It is called Eurovision for a reason.
I reckon they will do top 10 in jury but around 15-23 in televoting.
The song is overrated and they wont be nowhere near top 5 imo.

It mostly goes down to "how much does ORF want Australia to win?"
Because if the running order is something like this:
...
25 :gr:
26 :hu:
27 :au:

it will be a landslide.

If it will be like that Australia will finish close to the bottom. By that time people are worn out of having listened to the songs, 27 songs is way too much
Children of the universe, for example...

There is a big difference between COTU and Tonight Again, the latter being a song that begs to be danced at.
Put it at the end, with 2 ballads before it, and it will probably be the only thing that people will remember of the evening.

I don't know how ORF will make the running order, but i found last year that DR made some logic choices. They began with an up tempo song and they ended with an anthem song. it seemed logic in a way of entertainment. This year will be tricky due to the ballads but if the ORF gonna act like DR we can imagine a running order looking the same way. I see a song like Iceland to end the final (if they survive the SF) or if it's a ballad… Norway is a good choice, with their big anthem end.

Let's see, i'm becoming impatient, the running order is always exciting.

Yeah because they had one of the best stagings in Eurovision history, imho. UK on the other hand had a pretty bad one.

If we qualify for the final (which is very likely), and get first half, then I wonder what ORF would do since our performance take some time to prepare, do they really dare to give us #1 or will they in that case give us #13 and use the commercial break directly before like last year?

If we get second half, their only choice for them to do (without inserting a new Commercial break) would be #27 but imagine the reaction among fans if that happen ;)
