2 of their winners also placed top 4. So out of 8 years they have 6 successes and only 2 real failures.

Its not as bad a record as people say it is, although of course no one should take the results as being set in stone or anything ;)

So Italy might be in the top 4 then.
Second place would be totally fine with me.

I ask myself why you put Italy in your top 10 since you hate us (= our entry) :? 'Cause it's clear from what you're writing since WEEKS that you have a big problem with Italy and the italian entry this year.

I think you are exaggerating. I consider the song good enough to be in my top 10 but I really don't want it to win. It's just too old-fashioned and kitschy to be a good winner. I very much prefer a more modern song to win. It's also a song, I don't really want to listen to repeatedly. Nevertheless, I acknowledge their vocal ability and I put the song in my top 10 for what it is. The fact that I put a song in my top 10, doesn't necessarily mean that I want it to win and I'm actually considering downgrading Italy.

I can enjoy the kitschy Eurovision songs that OGAE members so dearly love but I don't want them to win. In 2010, Denmark was the winner of the OGAE poll. The Danish song is nice enough but both song and staging are the ultimate Eurovision cliché, so I'm happy it didn't win. That doesn't mean that I hate the song or even Denmark, of course. I can enjoy the song for what it is but it wouldn't have been a good winner.

I liked Italy's song last year, when I heard it before the contest. Emma's song was much more modern. The performance and staging were not that great but I liked the song. I just hate it when Italy sends old-fashioned songs like this year and in 2011. In 2011, Italy even won the jury vote but it would have been an awful winner.
