It might be two totally different songs but as for the energy/ vibe it reminds me so much of :il: 2014. This has also been a huge fan favourite but later crashed. I think  will qualify though.

What were the juries voting for exactly? Bit astonishing to me as to why Alessandra was such a jury favourite. I’m devastated for Ulrikke and thought she was shortchanged of a lot of jury points for some reason.

Well given Ulrikke didn’t do too well with the juries maybe they were voting on originality

The studio version is like 1000 times better. I think the song's main issue is the singer herself. Like her character, indeed genuine, but she can't sing well. Particularly annoyed with her gasping. She clearly needs breathing excersises.

She needs some vocal coaching until Liverpool. This is probably the first qualifier of this season. The bubble will love it the rest not that much I guess.

I agree, I don’t understand how people really found her vocals to be good

Norsk MGP 2023 finished over half an hour ago. The public vote shook things up a bit, and due to the way in which the public vote scores were announced, Ulrikke Brandstorp was momentarily in the lead. Alessandra, who had won the jury vote with 104 points, ended up winning the televote with 129 points, and thus she won by a landslide with 233 points. Congratulations to Alessandra for winning; she will now represent Norway at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool in May. Good luck to her in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 First Semi-Final, and in the Grand Final if she gets there.

Commiserations to the other eight artists; but nonetheless, they all did very well to get to the final.

Are u serious? She has great breath control, the high Note was awesome and she hits the other notes effortlessly aswell. Maybe u dont like her Tone?
You must have heard/ seen a different performance than me

That must have been a factor and I agree, though third with juries is still respectable. I think I’m more perplexed as to why Alessandra was such a runaway jury favourite given that performance aspects like vocal range, vocal clarity, connection, etc. are usually the criterion that trump composition or originality. Alessandra definitely performed it well but it feels like many were simply giving full priority to the commercial aspect with the knowledge that the song had gone viral. I know the jury criteria are intentionally vague and often contradict one another but there definitely felt like something was askew with many of their overall rankings.

juries should vote on how polished a performance is and hit potential, not only vocals, and Ulrikke's song lacked that. Thats the reason Chanel did well with the ESC juries last year
