I'm not a KEiiNO girlie by any stretch of the imagination, BUT I do think Norway made the wrong choice. For as cheesy or corny as someone might find KEiiNO to be, TIX "offends" on those fronts just as much as well. This song basically feels like a love letter to "The Reason" in that it sounds exactly like it, which is a bad thing imo. The lyrics are incredibly banal, and, unfortunately, TIX has rather decent enunciation when he sings in English. I personally would rather leave out the cheesy boyband songs in the early 2000s where this belongs. Also the metaphor here is a bitsy self-aggrandizing so I don't much care for it. I think Norway could struggle to make it to the final this year cause the staging is abhorrent and the song is a early 2000s time capsule, BUT he is the only man in the second half of semi 2, so he could slip in the final that way. All-in-all, bad entry Norway. Ngl, not that cut-up about this cause (non-Icelandic) Scandi NQs are HOT.

I still think the format of NRK's selection is exciting and dramatic, yet leaves a lot of room for redundancy. The grand final results are just awful as it made semi 2-5 really unimportant/unnecessary, since all advancing acts are from semi 1.

I'm not an intern at NRK, but I would probably love to see something a bit closer to Melodifestivalen in format.
1. Have 20 songs, distribute them to four heats, so each one gets five songs
2. Use televoting and advance two to the final and one to Sistesjanse (or use a set of jury to pick the wildcard)
3. Then at Sistesjanse, advance two more to the grand final using televoting
4. Have a nice grand final and either use a televoting or televoting+jury combination to pick the winner. If they want to spice it up, jury+televote five of them to the gold round and then use the televoting to pick the winner.

I state that TIX with angel wings looks like Axl Rose passed away. I must admit that Norway has made a big leap in quality this year. Compared to Ulrikke's supposed "masterpiece" it is much, much better. The presentation is good, the vocality is good, the stage presence is there, I felt poetry and an "enveloping" melody like a hug. "Fallen Angel" made me feel good. Norway can fight for the top positions even if ... for the moment France and its new entry are even higher. My rating is 10.

I was prepared for a Keiino landslide, getting ready to book my flights to Oslo for Eurovision next year

I was "against" TIX in the beginning, but the English version really elevated the song for me. The staging is a mess but the melody is quite nice and memorable... I did prefer Emmy, IMERIKA, and KEiiNO to this but it's definitely an entry I can get behind.

I personally feel the automatic qualifier part is nonsense. Just have everyone compete. I feel they should just do a Estonia/Portugal and do 2 semi and 1 final. To be honest, I like Croatia/Denmark/Finland's national finals format the best. Less hassle and straightforward. 1 final and end off.

Yes, definitely. There's no need to do it that way. If the songs are strong enough to be considered "pre-qualified" then just let the songs compete and get through on their own merit

Oh dear, I suppose we won't be very popular within the Eurovision fandom this year, I see. Unfortunate for TIX that he competed the year where KEiiNO returned with a fan-favorite song...

Though if TIX entered with a better song, such as the songs he's already released that are widely popular here, this would've been a landslide.

Well he is nobody outside norway but is at least the most hated man in the history of eurovision song contest. I didn't expect that whole norway is tone deaf and tasteless.

I see he is disabled and has struggled with depression, loneliness and bad thoughts. I hope he won't see number of dislikes, 0 Points and 99% of comments from esc fans all over social media and youtube.

Personally, I don't begrudge TiX for winning - you enter a competition to win or to profile your music, not to just be a quiet also-ran. This is on NRK though. They tried to cheese a KEiiNO win, failed to rig properly (by releasing TiX's song early and it caused him to build momentum faster than monument did) and it backfired. NRK's incompetence meant that they threw away a freebie qualification and a placement somewhere between 4th and 8th in Rotterdam for an entry many fans will inherently dislike because it slayed their precious fan fave.

Sucks for TiX to be at the heart of it, but such is life.

Well, it is his problem now. He wanted it, now he will have to deal with all the hate. The song is horror, the performance is horror and norway is tone deaf. I hope we won't see norway win in the next 200 years.

They screwed easy and landslide victory in roterdam with a masterpiece of Monument. I've listened to it 500 times and i will listen to it 500 more times. Norway obviously doesn't want to win. Sorry, but not sorry 0 pt for wingman.
