What can I say?
I can't make her stay
When I know that she's so far above
How could she ever love someone like me
She's out of reach

Here in the dark inside the hole in my heart
I'm fighting all of my demons tryna tear me apart
And I'm still not sure what you ever saw in me

No, I'm a, I'm a fallen angel
And no matter where my heart is
There's no way I'll ever
Reach up to heaven
To you

She's so far out of this world
No way I could ever be with her
'Cause I know heaven's your home
That's where angels belong
And it wouldn't be fair
If I keep you down here

Here in the dark inside the hole in my heart
I'm fighting all of my demons tryna tear me apart
And I'm still not sure what you ever saw in me

No, I'm a, I'm a fallen angel
Tryna fly, but I'm not able
And I need you to know
That it's okay to let me go
'Cause no matter where my heart is
There's no way I'll ever
Reach up to heaven
To you

I'm a, I'm a fallen angel
Yeah I'm a, I'm a fallen angel
And I'm still not sure
What you ever saw in me

No, I'm a, I'm a fallen angel
Tryna fly, but I'm not able, so
Just let me go (I'm a, I'm a fallen angel)
'Cause no matter where my heart is
There's no way I'll ever
Reach up to heaven
To you

I rank a MGP final till now, like this:

KiiM - "My Lonely Voice" 10/10
TIX - "Ut av mørket" 8/10
KEiiNO - "Monument" 6/10
Stavangerkameratene - "Who I Am" 6/10
Atle Pettersen - "World on Fire" 5/10
Emmy - "Witch Woods" 5/10
Kaja Rode - "Feel Again" 5/10
Blåsemafian feat. Hazel - "Let Loose" 4/10
Raylee - "Hero" 2/10

To many 6 and 5, I don't like middle of the road, mediocre stuff..plus many of them are almost not live.. :(

"I Can't Sleep" sounds like a masterpiece for me. The other three songs aren't my cup of tea at all - especially that dated "Coming Home" song is so irritating. Awful arrangement.

They're all well done, but Imerika is a cliche contemporary first-person pronoun bonanza (even artist and song name as well, jeez) with the 'current' kind of dry singing, all of which I find grating. Similar with Ane dot Fin, but at least here there's a beat and vocal variation. The country-thing was well sung, but extremely formulaic, and the 'fun at the farm' is just meh. If I was forced to vote, I'd give a few to Ane dot.

I have heard Rein's entry (thanks to VK)
And two words to describe it: Viking vibes....

If someone wants to hear it..Message me in PM
I will wait patiently until his performance, but could the song be a possible winner song? *curiosity* :)

Viking watched too much Bond movies lately? It's kinda meh, but I can understand it's more suitable for bigger audiences than his previous song

Rein's song made me laugh. I think he's much better suited to a dramatic Bond-esque number than he was playing dress up for the naff viking europop they had him singing last year, although I've no doubt that kitsch will still play a factor when it comes to the staging. And thank Jesus there was no repeated usage of the word "you're" this time cause it bugged me like crazy in his live performance last year. Should be more tolerable this time, but I doubt Eyes Wide Open will garner Rein the same hype as last year.

Yay for all the songs being out now 🥳 Can put together a full ranking.

I prefer "One Last Time" but i like both. I know Rein can massively improve the song just by performing it on stage, so i can't wait to see the song in full glory. xbow

I kinda hate there is no juries this year. Most of the time I agree with them and not the televote.. And also no juries and Denmark and they have less impact in UMK - are the HoDs forgetting that juries still exist at ESC?

I disagree pretty much 100%.
I think every country should be absolutely free to choose whatever song they want to send, and the juries in ESC are absolutely free to bury it in the semi-finals.
That seems fair to me.

I can't really see Viking vibes in this one. I liked "One more time" more and if there ever was a just use of the word "robbed", than it was this case.
Nevertheless, it's a good song and it kinda reconciles me with the last two semi-finals. Well done Rein! I fear this is not enough to challenge Keiino though.

I have pretty much the inverse opinion :) Probably because of how Eurovision is perceived in my country and who wins our NF televote...

On a national level, I really don't want to send the currently interested instagram star of the day who will get propelled to the victory just by its fanbase. Bilal is the most striking example, but I am speaking more of our televote winners Jakub Ondra and Benny Cristo - Benny Cristo also got the jury's blessing while Jakub Ondra didn't. The jury ensures the entry has some international appeal (and possibly prevents joke entries) while domestic vote balances things to also be most representative of the given nation possible.

Also not everyone is Sweden to have millions of voters in their selection, we only had a grand total of 35 000 votes in our NF last year, Lithuania was below 100 000 this year, etc. I absolutely understand if a jury is involved to balance such situations a little, provided it consists of true professionals.

On the ESC level, I advocate for existence of a jury but with diminished weight - 1/3 or 1/4 of total points. Even when those people are professionals, there is only around 200 of them, in contrast with 200 million viewers. True, not all of the viewers vote, but the resulting power of a single jurymember is still too big in comparison. Or, to put it in another words, the audience is now much bigger in numbers and should be given more importance.

yeah that may be the "moral" choice, but result wise and also money wise (if an act qualifies that means more people tuning in for the final) it's not a good decision, and also for a reputation of the contest in the country.
