What can I say?
I can't make her stay
When I know that she's so far above
How could she ever love someone like me
She's out of reach

Here in the dark inside the hole in my heart
I'm fighting all of my demons tryna tear me apart
And I'm still not sure what you ever saw in me

No, I'm a, I'm a fallen angel
And no matter where my heart is
There's no way I'll ever
Reach up to heaven
To you

She's so far out of this world
No way I could ever be with her
'Cause I know heaven's your home
That's where angels belong
And it wouldn't be fair
If I keep you down here

Here in the dark inside the hole in my heart
I'm fighting all of my demons tryna tear me apart
And I'm still not sure what you ever saw in me

No, I'm a, I'm a fallen angel
Tryna fly, but I'm not able
And I need you to know
That it's okay to let me go
'Cause no matter where my heart is
There's no way I'll ever
Reach up to heaven
To you

I'm a, I'm a fallen angel
Yeah I'm a, I'm a fallen angel
And I'm still not sure
What you ever saw in me

No, I'm a, I'm a fallen angel
Tryna fly, but I'm not able, so
Just let me go (I'm a, I'm a fallen angel)
'Cause no matter where my heart is
There's no way I'll ever
Reach up to heaven
To you

Right now I see Tix, KEiiNO, Raylee, Emmy and possibly Rein Alexander as the big favourites. Unless there's a surprise in the remaining entries, these 5 will take at least 3 spots of the final 4 and someone of them will win.

My wish is KEiiNO, and the obvious guess is Tix. So it's eventually gonna be Raylee or Emmy :)

I have the exact thought about the five. Still in the end I think that Keiino will make it.

Royane - "Circus" - sounds really American, I liked in the beginning, but it is too flat.. xshrug

Kiim - "My Lonely Voice" - I love this! A lot! In studio version it is AWESOME! Some parts of it, regarding music remind me of Mo - "Heal" from 2014 MGP!
Btw is this male or female?xblush

Landeveiens Helter - "Alt det der" - this is so old fashioned schlagerish, in Norwegian way, yeah, no wonder I could really like it! :D

Marianne Petha & Mikkel Gaup - "Pages" - another very good one for me, in studio version at least... Okay I know those lyrics.. But I always fall for this type of Norwegian joik..

I don't agree with majority this Heat is bad..but I suppose Royane will qualify, meeeh.. :( (n)

Heat 4 is extremely underwhelming.

- Circus: Interesting at first but became annoying quite quickly. How did the writers think it was a good idea to keep the vocal range almost static? It's so grating to listen to!

- Alt det der: Norwegian "legends" join forces for a farmer-pop song about bad career choices and the sacrifices they've made. Not for me but it will probably have some appeal here.

- My Lonely Voice: Good voice but I'm not convinced about the sincerity of the song. I feel like I've heard it many times before. Regardless, it's not the type of music I normally listen to.

- Pages: My favorite from this heat (the bar wasn't very high) but only because the chorus is melodically pleasant, even if contrived.

who do you guys think will win now that we almost have all the songs?
KEiiNO is going to knock it for sure. Rein Alexander's song is bound to be good written by Mørland & Ingebrigtsen, but it will be virtually impossible to stop Monument IMO and Alexandra is on fire.

Tumblr, mostly.
Is Rein even going to be good? He and Morland seem like such a mismatch on paper, I can't possibly imagine that going well.

Weak heat. It feels flat and bland.
"Pages" is the most distinctive and interesting entry of these four songs but we've heard better.

KEiiNO needs to win this!

Interesting point, but the pair of Mørland & Ingebrigtsen wrote last year's winner Attention and Rein is a quality singer so I just assume it's going to be good. It's also got the be blessing of the organizers by being last to be presented, and I bet one of last in the running order in the final too, and people pick up on that.

I can't know of course, he is on my list purely because of his hype/impact last year (as originally were Raylee and KEiiNO, but these two have already delivered), I don't want to underestimate him. So he is a contender, until proven otherwise.

I mean, yeah it looks all promising. I'm not buying it out of the gate though. I just can't imagine Rein with an Attention of his own. Or with 'A Monster Like Me'. Or whatever that Norwegian song Morland brought a few years back was called (En Verdet Mann? smth like that). I'm curious to what this unconventional pairing may bring, but I'm not getting my hopes up either way. Getting your hopes up now, is setting yourself up to be disappointed and crushed later. The pandemic is already trying as is, I'd rather keep my good mood whenever I can.

My first post in the ESC forum for 2021 and it's taken my until February to do it

A bit late to the party but omg Kaja Rode's song has me scalped xheat I'm such a sucker for a schlagery bop and that chorus is just ticking all the right boxes for me. If I could change one thing I'd probably amp it up a bit more towards the end but that's where Kaja really knocks it out the park live so that makes up for whats missing in the song itself. Please win (somehow) xheat

I guess it looks like KEiiNO will actually win this, which I'd be just as happy with. Monument is a solid song, maybe not quite as good as Spirit in the Sky but still definitely worthy of winning MGP. Alexandra really shines this time and that high note is amazing.

cough cough, Jorn

Fighting his way from behind and then surprising everyone? :) That would be quite a story!

I mean, I enjoy his song a lot, and I suppose he could be the one to watch in the second chance round and possibly even make it from there to the final. But let's face it, I don't think he stands a chance to be a real contender in this cutthroat system where you have to advance to the final, then come top 4, then top 2, then win... especially given he already didn't manage to even advance from the first round of his heat. And when there are these 5 acts against him, already comfortably waiting in the finals.

Jorn in the finals is possible, but a victory for him is not going to happen.

YES! I'm not alone xpray I was drifting in a lonely sea of Kaja love until now. The song's totally underrated in my opinion and her vocals are probably the best in the competition. Monument and Feel Again are my favorites for now.

Y'all are talking about Rein Alexander as being a favorite to win MGP, but let's not forget that his entry last year was nowhere good as Wild, Attention or even Som Du Er.

This is my opinion though, you are totally right to root for him. xqueenbitch

He was something like my n°6 last year in MGP, better than good yet not exactly excellent. But he was 2nd in the odds and I believe he would've had achieved the top 4 if it hadn't been for all those voting complications... Also, Rein is seeded in the final this year while Raylee isn't, despite Raylee's better result last year, which in theory adds a little more ground to the hype for him. So yeah, I think we must provisionally count with Rein as a potential favourite.

While everyone is too busy discussing KEiiNO, Tix, Raylee and Emmy it seems like I'm in the clear minority  and that my favorites so far are Blåsemafian - catchy and well-produced song, the staging works very well for me and I think the vocals are also very good.

From the "fan favs", my pick are definitely KEiiNO (my 2nd place so far), followed by Emmy. I didn't expect to appreciate "Witch Woods" as much as I actually do. Not a fan of the other two.

My favorite NF so far. I loved MGP'20 but I think this edition is even better xclap
