Definitely - Ulrikke is for sure very good but that's not the kind of song I expect from Norway

Every uptempo danceable pop song that has participated in the contest since 2018 was always called by SOME of its haters as a failed version of "Fuego" , and that will unfortunately continue to happen as long as songs of this genre keep coming and coming to the contest.

Any comparison of "Wild" with songs like Cyprus 2018, Cyprus 2019 or Switzerland 2019 is fair and understandable (I do that too!) but calling them the same song or "Fuego 2.0" and so one is not rational.

For example I don't think it is as good as the three mention above lyrically. The structure of "Wild" is very different from "Fuego" or "She Got Me", there are many similarities with "Replay" in the after-chorus instrumental though for example but that is not enough to call "Wild" as Fuego 484.0 or sth like that.

But dear delegations and future NF aspiring contestants keep them comin' I got the fire in 2018 and no water can stop it to grow we need more happy and danceable songs

Som Du Er and Wild would be worthier winners than Attention, though Raylee actually stands a chance to outperform Ulrikke in this field full of ballads.

I'm now watching the Norwegian national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020, Melodi Grand Prix 2020, online from the UK. Here are the ten finalists:
