Spirit in the sky has been stuck in my head for ages now and I keep listening to it, that chorus is life itself. I don't think i've felt this hyped for a possible Norwegian entry since the blessing that 'En godt stekt pizza' graced us all with its presence.

Let's not get too carried away now. Spirit in the Sky is good but it isn't the second coming of Christ that was En Godt Stekt Pizza.

Actually no because it would have been something daring for ... People here thinking that everyone hates in general are totally wrong... I just like a song or I don't like it that's it.

As for "Spirit in the Sky" I'm still very torn on it... And I can also see why some might call it dated. Let's wait and see how my opinion will develop in the next weeks!

Many people in this forum goes far more ahead than just critizing our songs, there´s the problem.

And that´s something I´m very very tired of

The only sad thing with KEiiNO is that the NF won't be any exciting at all unless they mess up staging really badly

This really really does my head in! People are so so quick to cry plagiarism on songs and that they are rip offs of other songs when in fact it purely comes down to a similar chord progression or a few common melodic phrases. For a song to be a rip-off of another song there needs to be way more blatant copying that there is between Spirit in the Sky, Monsters and Faded. Haven't people seen that video made by Axis of Awesome where the guys play the same 4 chords and fit numerous songs into that pattern - it's the basis of pop music, that familiar comfortable pattern that embeds catchy pop hooks into our brains!

Anyway, personally I think that Spirit in the Sky is amazing and must represent Norway this year. Make it so Norwegian public

I hope Mørland will be pushed somehow to win in the final, but I doubt..

Both Spirit in the Sky and En Livredd Mann are great songs and would probably be in my top 5 even after all songs are revealed. If Norway picks anything other than those two, I'll never forgive them.

I enjoy En Livredd Mann and think Mørland will give a good performance. But song wise, Spirit In The Sky just has it all and totally ticks all like the right boxes in my mind. If it doesn't win MGP, I will never forgive Norway for depriving Europe of the spectacle of such a masterful piece of pure pop with a subtle joik twist

I have replayed it more than I care to count now - I've just realised today actually that Tom Hugo sounds a little like me when I sing... So heck, if it gets to Eurovision, I can almost say that I am taking part in Eurovision this year

I just pray that the live performance is everything that I hope it can be and that the live vocals pop just like they do on the studio cut. MGP is normally pretty decent in terms of production value so I'll be praying for good sound quality
