That's just an emotional response which is very understandable. Less than 24 hours has passed. It will go away. I don't think the Dutch are known for being sentimental. Clear mind will prevail in the end.

We are going to leave 100%, if this thing is based on nothing.

Though we might hold our own vision.

You underestimate our ability to be petty, but that’s fine. :D

Please AVROTROS stick to your principles and be out next year, maybe even a couple of years.
The Dutch delegation is furious about this and NPO+AVROTROS filed for an official complaint at EBU. They do NOT agree with this decision at all. If they want us back, they have to deliver.

I think we will be petty, until you give us these demands(given Joost Klein wasnt a problem after all)
1. We want to go for free to Switzerland(we are Dutch after all, also you have to pay for liability)
2. Joost Klein will be direct into the final.
3. If he doesn't want to, he can do his thing in the final as an interval act.

4. All presenters have to wear Joost’s blue uniform.
5. We want an orange chocolate fountain in the green room.
Do you mean... the orange room?

Some heads at EBU will need to roll, for many reasons, but the Dutch DQ is obviously a main reason for the Dutch to have grievances right now. But this is hardly all there is to say and Eurovision can not continue on this path. I mean we were pretty close to seeing a genocidal regime become the televote winner after fascist and alt-right troll voting. How do they even think it's okay for such a country to even be there? And I mean this decision was made in January when the number of civilian deaths was already like 15k and the worst examples were already clear to the world. It makes the whole competition feel completely tone deaf. So under current leadership I would prefer we no longer seek to compete at Eurovision. We need various things to change and a discussion should be held on how to move forward.

As much as I really do want you guys to stick around, I fully support any withdrawal due to the disgraceful behaviour of the EBU and the clown who sits as the executive supervisor. Allowing one country to keep breaking rules, intimidating acts and being a general nuisance toward other delegations with no consequence is disgraceful. To then disqualify Joost for what we know is ‘not a police matter’ (so no physical assault took place or at least no action was taken) is an absolute piss take. It makes a mockery of our beloved contest and we stand with any decision that you make!
