LOL andalublue, i find him kinda scary  but i like his voice though.

Oh boy! That is sooo cheesy, I love it!
And he's cute. I can't see any evidence of Latin musical roots though, can you?

Vinzzent did make the song a little more fun....but it's still sound ridiculous!

Marlous version is a bit too much for me, but since she has been in the news spread after all her coach probs, she could got some "Feel sorry for"-votes and possibly win! :p

First official version by Vinzzent !

You can listen to it here:
http://www.omroepbrabant.nl/?news/13125 ... tival.aspx

1. go to the left and press on the speaker: "2 audiofragmenten" (2 music/audio fragments)
2. press second one: Vinzzent - Shalalie - Ik ben verliefd
3. Enjoy it

I kinda like it! Very summerish, like most of his songs sound like. So i its a typical Vinzzent version ;) though i think its not good enough for the final...

I can't make it play, for some reason.

Vinzent's version is good, better than the demo, but still nothing that i'd vote for. And also not the version that i "see" in the final

Wow, it's great! (If it's their intention is to sound like Zelda goes to the Caribbean). Seriously, why are they even trying with this song? It's like putting lipstick on a pig!

Nope, to me this is just an incredibly boring schlager version. But at the same time, you could send Mariah Carey and it still would be a crappy song...sorry :(

What are the rules about the remixes though? Can you slightly change the melody and maybe change the emphasis on certain sounds and words or do you have to sing it exactly the same way as the 'origianal'???

You can do whatever you want i think, you can make a rap version or rock version for example. Vinzzent's version even has some new words in it! Some will add a second bridge, but i think its likely that the melody will stay the same though...

The only way I can see making this song more appealing and mainstream to possibly make it a ballad??? Some string instruments and slow down the whole song. And change the Shalalie, shalala to more a humming or 'aaahhh' sound. But I don't think that any of the artist is going for that (you never know though).
I don't see this song using hard rock sounds though but you never know.

I heard some 10 sec. snippets lol and Peggy's version sounds like a ballad, Sieneke's version is almost like the demo but with more instruments, Marlous is going carnival, Vinzzent'version is very summerish and Loekz, my favourites so far, are going for something really modern but i fear it's the same as what happened with Shine; a new modern production but no melody :? Darn! Sieneke has the most chances so far

Oh and one of our jurymembers will be.. Johnny Logan :D
And there will be a livestream this sunday (21:10 CET)

Is that really necessary? Perhaps they should spend more time finding a better song because I don't think an expert on any country in Europe can help this situation.

By the way I've heard the full versions of Vinzzent and Marlous Oosting and they provide no hope though I believe this is a lost cause now cause there's no way this song is qualifying to the final.

I don't understand it either. Here in Belgium in 2006 we had east european juries. They also choose Kate Ryan and like we all know, she didn't make it .

And we all know she did indeed deserve to make it.

And we all know that she didn't do it, not because of the songm but because of that Belgium had no diaspora to help them.

It wasn't because there was some jury from Eastern Europe who helped pick it

Anyway, now with 50% juries I actually think she would have made it if it was entered with those rules... remember that this was even prior the rule that the juries could pick the 10th qualifier... so this was when televoting decided 100% and you know that diaspora voting controlled much of the contest so good entries from countries with no diaspora or block help failed...

but that's history now.

OMG just heard Sieneke's version on Dutch radio. It sounds kinda like Denmark 2006. It sounds a little rock'roll-ish :) Not bad, not bad but the girl has no experience lol but i think she might surprise. Her coach said they have a little surprise ;)

Re: NEDERLAND - The Netherlands 2010 - Ik ben verliefd, shalalie

imho, she would finished like Soraya if the jurues were introduced in 2006.
And yes, it's also because of her song so no need in blaming diaspora. We expected something like her covers Desenchantee and Libertine but instead we got Je t'adore and it was a major turn off. If Desenchantee was on every radio here, Je t'adore totally flopped. Malta managed to come 2nd around that time (in 2005) and Ukraine came 19th (or 20th cuz we had same points w/ Sweden), where was "almighty" diaspora? Nobody prohibited Belgium to come up with a song that would be liked by majority. Kate could qualify then (from 9th or 10th position) but she wouldn't have finished higher than bottom 5, imo. Every time we finish high people find lame excuses and blame diaspora & neighbours, every time we finish lower people suddenly 4get about it. Diaspora is just one of many factors that control Eurovision and it doesn't work all the time. End of story.
Kate had fans all over Europe but even some Eastern countries voted for her and some Western gave her zeros.
As for the juries... they aren't there just to help certain countries no matter what (just like not every neighbours and diaspora btw). Find a good performance that will be liked by majority and get your high place if you care about this horse race and places so much.

As for Dutch 2010 entry... the song doesn't even stand close to Je t'adore, Kate was better, imo... lol, I'm not even talking about the level of recent ESC winners ... go figure future Dutch result. Actually the juries can bomb Dutch performance even more.

as for the Dutch local jury... all of them choose from what they have, uhm, and they don't have much this year.
Also I don't get how 1 person can represent the whole Eastern Europe :| "expert" Eastern Europe is not the only one area that votes on ESC and decides the winner so I don't like that they pay such attention to my area  I'd changed her on some producer or composer cuz this is what they need right now ;)
I agree that they should better find money on improving the song (or making the new one) and developing conception of the ESC performance.
