But if Morroco started regularly taking part, in 30 years you'd add them to your exception list?

That's not how it works for me, since I'm opposing further non-European expansion as of now... as I said I won't accept Australia just because EBU want to sneak them in as permanent...

However if let's say Morocco stayed as a consistent member since when they first debuted, then I'd be more ok with them in...

Does this make sense?

My point is that if Morocco and Israel swapped places you'd be furious if Israel wanted to take part.

I don't want Morocco either btw, but my reasoning is different, I never try hard to seem impartial, I'm not a fan of this country therefore I don't want them in. I want Tunisia in though, and I'd cheer for them. Only my interests matter for me.

The fact that they're not even entering because of their loath for Israel is quite telling that they're not even ready to take part in an event like Eurovision to be right out frank...

The thing is I think it's only the broadcaster SNRT that has that view. The other boadcaster that is applying for EBU membership, 2M TV, doesn't seem to have that view.

We don't need this. ESC is an European contest and we (Europeans) celebrate EUROPEAN music. China is in Asia, Marocco is in Africa...

Morroco is an EBU member, and have participated in the past. If they want to participate, they're allowed by the rules. That's why the thread is created.

It is pretty much a common thing between 2MTV and the current government

2M is pretty much against the government but most Moroccans prefer 2M over SNRT anyway

It's obvious the gov is against the annual Mawazine festival etc. (which brings a major income and bigger than Glastonbury)
As they are Conservative Islamists!

Now all the other parties are against them for example legalizing Marijuana the main opposition wants to including the Royal Backewd Istiqlal party who leads the opposition

Given SBS wasn't a full member and Australia got in surely 2M could enter anyway before their membership, I mean the EBU have thrown the rule book in the bin.
