So apparently Montenegro has chosen their act: Eurovision Montenegro: Sergej

It's hard to judge, but based on the clips he comes across as a hybrid between the first meh Montenegrin entries and stuff like Zeljko...

oh dear. I'm not sure Montenegro will qualify again off that video. if the actual song is anything like that then i think it will be kind of forgettable. especially if its early going up.

Well, they sent something that really stood out last year and a very up-to-date and in the context fresh sounding entry but the juries screwed them over big time... they learned the hard way that only by playing it totally safe you might get some jury love... which again is a major issue for the credibility of this contest which loses its reputation as a force in today's music when only safe gets praised.

:me: Montenegro just need a "twerker" and a women dressed like a hippo.

That would be something we for the first would talk about and remember!

Seems like your typical Balkan entry. Indeed it's a big change from the last two Montenegro entries. I quite like the song presented in the article, definitely better than many ESC Balkan ballads (including the hugely overrated Zeljko Joksimovic).

EXTREMELY popular in Serbia, 12 points 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 %!

Tijana Dapcevic is also, but no chance aganist him!

he is EXTREMELY popular here, he made concerts in Belgrade Arena recently, and there wasn't enough tickets, comparing his popularity and "Who see" is INSANE! :D

Thank fudge that Montenegro might actually do something sensible for a change, instead of the pish of the last 2 years.

Yeeeeeeeee! The only thing i can say that Sergej lacks charisma and charm, but he still makes great songs and he still has an incredible smooth voice, i cannot wait to finally hear "aaand our "some" points go to Montenegro!" xheya

So probably an instant :12: from :rs: next year.

Ok, so his name alone may collect :12: from Serbia (if Serbia stays in the contest that is), but what about the rest of the countries? I still have to listen to more from this guy to make a fair pre-judgement, but so far it's a bit meh. I hope they go down the Zeljko route and emphasize more on the ethno part, because the stuff I heard is not much above the first Montenegrin entries (which wouldn't be a smart thing to go back to sound-wise), but something like Lane moje, Bistra voda or Lejla could be great!

Well, I can't tell before hearing the actual entry but based on what I heard so far Igranka >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Sergej ... what I meant was is that regardless of his popularity in Serbia, he obviously need enough support from the rest of Europe aswell.

Igranka is by far the best Montenegrin entry to date, but considering how the juries treated that one I can see why they wanna play it safe... I just wonder what style this will be in.

He is very well positioned in his ballad style so I doubt he will change anything for ESC..
