We've been well and truly trolled here and I sort of love it, sort of don't (as I suspect Dream Team sim cards came into play). That final note is the funniest thing to happen to this year's contest since Wiwibloggs described Malta's song as sounding like Electro Velvet. The fact Natalia was frozen stiff solid during the unleash that required every last ounce of.. whatever powers it needed were...... I am without words. We deserve to be trolled like this.

I love how we discuss in other threads how shaky or poor vocals doomed the chances of other artists... and then you got MoldovAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA going to the Final.

Moldova has quite the history of undeserving qualifiers.

I remember when I watched Eurovision 2007 with my parents, and my father was absolutely done with Eurovision when Moldova took the last spot in the Final. Man, he was angry. He didn't watch it ever again until he died.

Moldova is one of the leading countries in 2000s that made people turn their backs on Eurovision, I guess. And now they are back at this formula.

I have secretly enjoyed this song in the past few weeks and I really appreciate the effort Natalia has given in the past 1.5 years. Still, when they announced Moldova as the qualifier after such a terrible and painful performance, I felt a mixture of disappointment, hopelessness and disgust. This performance (both visually and vocally) was a disaster and a slap in the face to all of us who try explaining to our friends/family members (and maybe ourselves) that ESC is worth watching because it's not as trashy as people usually perceive it. The song itself is catchy, but the performance was worth the place of the real winners at best. It really ruined my excitement for the remaining qualifiers last night.

EUROOOOOOOOOPE...WOO! That moment alone was enough for her to warrant a place in the final. Revisiting the performance and actually thought it was decent. Musically, it's far from being my cup of tea but there is something so addictive about her lovely energy and the overall campiness. A pleasant surprise.
