No, most of Moldova is Romanian speaking, though in Chisinau people are pretty much bi-lingual it seems. Transnistria is sorta like Crimea in Ukraine so it's a bit different from the rest of Moldova.

The language was Moldovan, but then government declared that the language is Romanian and everybody in the country is Romanian, but in Moldova there are Moldovans, Gagauz, Russians, Ukrainians, etc. That's why many people don't like President and PM, and Minister of education.

Well, I initially referred to the language as Moldovan aswell, but apparently according to linguistic experts it's only a dialect of Romanian ... so I'm a bit confused

I don't want to discuss politics though, but I think they're on the right path now and I can just leave it with that...
