1. Brooke "Golden" Nice, modern, good song, could get forgotten in ESC though... I was hoping for something faster from Brooke
2. Christabelle "Kingdom" sounds a bit like Daniel Testa's "One last ride" could be a good choice for ESC actually, I think it would have been better performed by a boyband I think, but up to now, I think its close between Brooke and Christabelle, but I think Christabelle is leading in my ranking.
3. Corazon "Falling Glass" - one of those songs that I quite like, could do well in ESC with a good performance but I don't see this as a winner in Stockholm, but it would definitely make the final!
4. Danica "Frontline" I think this could be a bit like Hungary 2015, I dont really see it doing well, but with a lot of luck it could make the final in ESC but not do very well in it.. Sorry, not the best song from Danica
5. Daniel Testa "Under the sun" - I was hoping for something better, more like 2014, after the mess he sent last year this is a breath of fresh air, but I dont see this doing well in ESC. He has such potential but there is something lacking. I like this but I think it would be forgotten in the semi in stockholm
6. Dario "I love You" - ok song, nothing special, dont see this winning MESC or doing well in ESC. It's a bit forgettable I quite like it but its not for a song contest
7. Deborah C "All around the world" sounds very late 90s I think. If this made ESC I think it would struggle, I usually like Deborah's song, and I quite like this, but, it lacks a lot. Sorry Debbie I dont think 2016 is your year
8. Domenique "Empty Hearted" sounds like her song from last year, it lacks something. I think this may make the final next month but I dont see it winning. I think it could go either way in ESC, but I'm leaning toward DNQ
9. Dominic "Fire Burn" - I really like this, this is something a bit fresher than Kurt Calleja, I think this could have a good chance next month and I dont think it would do too badly in ESC. I didnt think I would like it because of his previous attempt but I like this a lot
10. Franklin "Little Love" I think the juries will like this, I dont see it doing as well with the televote though, the song is a nice song, but lacks something. I think it in ESC it could end on the right side of the scoreboard. Not something I will be listening to a lot, but its nice.
11. Ira Losco "Chameleon" - The one I've been waiting for, starts off really well.. the beat kicks in and gets better.. I can see this going very well in ESC. With the right staging I can see this being a contender for the top in May. Ira didn't let me down!
12. Ira Losco "That's why I Love You" Nice song, I dont see this being a contender in May. I think we have heard this type of song a few times before. Its good, don't get me wrong, but not as good as I was hoping.
13. Jasmine Abela "Alive" starts off amazing! turns into Helena Paparizou's "Survivor". Sounds like a mash up of a few songs, I think it could do very every well with the right performance. I cans see this being a contender for the top! I would be very happy to see this in ESC I think it could do Malta proud!
14. Jessika "The Fame" It's ok, nice song, dont see this doing well in ESC at all, she will probably make the final of MESC, but I dont see her doing as well as "hypnotica". It doesnt have that 'umph' needed
15. Kimberley "Lighthouse" This could be a dark horse I think. I really like this. I think it could do quite well. Its nice, simple, different.. It's got a nice quality to it. simplicity has shown it can do very well in ESC, look at Netherlands 2014 and Cyprus 2004.. Watch this one
16. Lawrence Gray "You're Beautiful" Not one of his best songs. I dont think 2016 is his year. Could have done well in the early 00s. I dont see this doing well in ESC, I think it would struggle to get votes and also struggle to be remembered. This could have been written for Franklin
17. Maxine "Young Love" after Destiny winning JESC with a similar song I think this will do very well in MESC! It's very radio friendly and could do quite well in ESC. I think its fresh. I don't see it winning in Stockholm but I think it could do quite well
18. Raquel "Flashing Lights" first time hearing this because she only sung a bit in the announcement show. She has a very distinctive voice but the song isnt great. I think it could do OK.. not a winner. sounds like it could be in Eesti Laul
19. Sarah Crystal "Right Here With You" I dont know how this would go down in ESC.. I think it could go either way.. do well or flop. I dont see any middle ground. I think it will also depend on her vocals, they seem VERY edited. I think it sounds like a song that would have done well in the charts about 13 years ago. could do well though, I cant decide
20. Stefan Galea "Light up my life" - I really like this. I was so happy when I heard he sent a song. I think this could do really well in MESC. I just hope he doesn't wear that horrible jacket from the announcement show. This could also go either way in ESC. I think with some good staging and performance he could do well.
