I have to laugh
La Forza have been finally avenged.
I have to laugh again.
I may sound butthurt, but it's best if we guys stop being assholes about our least favourite songs being chosen in NFs over your least favourite ones/ones you only kinda find alright, honestly. But let me tell you something - if we did sent La Forza, we'd have probably ended lower than Moldova, and not only them, and that's the tea. So 11th place with this song is decent I suppose, imagine if we came actually 15th in that semi, just look at how tight the top 8 was, therefore the two other qualifiers snuck in somehow over us in a way, but in any other edition we'd have probably ended up slightly lower? so only missing 2 points over qualification (thanks to our jury voting for Denmark lol) is not too bad. Maybe it will just at least teach our juries that sending plain pop songs and relying on diaspora won't work.
I found "Run with the Lions" an okay song, but maybe in the end of things Monika Marija would have been a better choice... but I don't think that we'd have reached top 10 with her, just saying. I'm happy that at least Jurijus had the time of his life out of the backings section! And that's all! ^^
Anyways, there was this TV gossip magazine show KK2 and today they aired their own segment about Eurovision where these things were told:
• one of the producers of Monika Marija was speaking and I actually kind of forgot most that he said but the background voiceover guy did say something about the fact that the foreign songwriters just don't flee to Lithuania...
• oh yes, that Monika Marija's producer did say that our staging was unengaging af, and if the people don't care about the song, they just start caring about anything else happening, like they did for Jurijus's hand movements.
• then there was a bit of a showcase of memorable performances in Eurovision like Poland 2014's milkmaids and Bosnia & Herzegovina 2008's laundry-girls (and then the voiceover dude added that nobody understood what Laka sang but they liked the show anyway).
• and then there was a segment dedicated purely to Bar Refaeli's Lithuanian heritage shoutout - briefly describing her modelling career and her affair with Leonardo DiCaprio. The voice over dude said that we've at least won something from that Eurovision, and that is that revelation. And then he said that it once again proves the fact that Lithuanian girls are beautiful (that doesn't include me tho).Username:
