i am weirdly ecstatic jurijus was such a success. i think i like his song more than both monika songs. either way, it LOOKS like lithuania has an easy choice to make but then again this was the saturday of fuckups and lithuania is the best at fucking up so watch as both jurijus and monika lose lol

LOL at Monika. Safely in the final with Criminal even after the begging for fans and the judges not to support it. Not a very smart idea entering two songs into a selection. It means now that Run With The Lions will most probably win, which I'm more cool with than Light On for sure. Run With The Lions is weirdly tolerable as far as handsome man with basic whoa oh oh pop song stuff usually goes. Don't love it but it's fine. This final actually isn't too bad at all. Only song I especially dislike is Light On.
A moments silence though for Alen Chicco's Your Cure which was my favourite song of this years Lithuanian selection and one of the very best of this entire year in my opinion. I'm sad we lost it.

As much as I am very much pro Light On there is only really one song I dislike a lot which is CTRL ALT DELETE. The Brexit song is a WTF as well. For me Eurovizijos is probably the strongest national selection this year. At least 19 songs I liked from it.

MM has fallen into her own trap, so it's going to be extremly difficult for her to win on Saturday. Her fanbase is basiclly split between two songs, and seeing how Jurijus gets more than 4k in the televote, I just can't see how she manages win it all, let alone, competing with two entries going to mess up things even more for her

As I wrote - she can win this if jury will give her 12 for "Light On". I'm quite sure that she is still jury favorite. I wouldn't even be surprised if jury will put their darling Bruzga as their 2nd choice and give him 10pts, putting Jurijus in 3rd place. But let alone this, let alone the fact that MM comes with two songs, she will still reach at least 2nd place in televoting for "Light On". Can't see it bein' otherwise, there's simply no other song to get that big support from audience, even if votes will split, even if Jurijus will have quite big lead at the end in televoting, that would still be enough for her to win it all.

It might be one of the longest NFs of the season, but Lithuania´s NF has some songs I love every year. In 2016, "If tomorrow never comes" was one of my overall NF favorites, this year I love "Mazule", hopefully it can win next week.

My faves were killed in the semis (oh really? seems to happen quite often now) … and the Songs in the final are not mine. The only song I enjoy a little is Henry & Tommy Modric – "Neverpart". The other songs … don't care much about.

Or, the jury could very well 12 Jurijus, 10 Light On and 8 Jurgis, just to tamper with everyone's expectations, just like last year when we all thought Ieva will get another 12 from the jury on the final to certify her winner status (even the televoters got convinced) but she got 10 and Jurgis got 12. Besides, Jurgis didn't do well with the juries in the heats this year even - just bare enough minimum points to scrape. Well until he did add dancers to his performance lol.
Wish I could see Jurgis & Erica surprise win though, these are the only ones in the final I like certifiedly (as Jurijus is too solid for me to like it a lot, Jurgis's one sounds too arrogant, Junà's song is so hollow and a bit attitude-y as well, AKD have way better songs, why the hell Henry and Tomas Sinickis qualified, 'Criminal' is overrated and 'Light On' is too safe and I was not on board with it completely at first before this became her second Eurovizijos entry). And personally I'd rather have had Alen Chicco advance instead at least one of the top 3 from semi 2.
What a bad year for Eurovizijos, really.
Another obvious winner and most of the more likeable/intriguing songs vanishing before the final. Oh well. Come back Aistė, all is forgiven

Jurgis and Erica has been a big guilty pleasure of mine this season, same for Mazule. I don't know, Monika Marija (with Criminal, preferrably, but who knows if that'll happen now that she's selling the song short) has to be the one in Tel Aviv for me, because when performed live, the chorus of "Running with the Lions" is weak.

so i just realized that unless they massively fuck up, for the first time in the history of alaska49's opinions, lithuania will be my favourite of the baltic sisters. not even in 2008 they achieved this because they were somehow worse than leto svet. what a breakthrough. last year was already the first time i unironically loved their entry (and elina was the best baltic still), and now this. onwards and upwards for lithuania!!!
