you know he has already proved here in Lithuania that he is somebody...

and what can you do in Eurovision if you don't believe in yourself? Why to come here then? It is the contest, and I personally think the many of the participants would like to win - and it's totally normal.

and about the example of Angelina Jolie - I'm starting to hate Angelina Jolie etc...

I've never heard or seen or read something of Donny that he would say - oh everybody thinks I'm gay, so I hate gays. Never. I see a big difference between - I don't like when people are wrong telling who I am and "I hate gays, it's awful thing that people think that I'm gay, because to be gay is a bad thing etc". The second sentence I wouldn't like. The first is totally normal, and I can't understand how is it possible to not see a difference. Could you please explain, Carian, this thing to me? You say you can't debate cos I can't understand your point, but how can I, if you refuse to debate?
Of course, I am new here, and if it is very wrong to debate on such themes, then I'll shut up (applause from everybody probably), but somebody must tell me this.
I don't like misunderstandings, as you probably can see...

I am going to repeat this for the last time. I really don't care if he is gay or he is not, if he is trying to prove something or not. At the end, I (and others around Europe and Australia) will judge his song, his performance, and his staging/delivery - not so much if he likes gays or not.
However, if you couldn't understand what was/is homophobic in his statement, then go and read my posts and of the Russian commentator who joked about being constantly compared to Angelina Jolie. The clue is: you shouldn't be bothered if you are compared to gays. If you are bothered, it means you do distinguish between straight and gay people. And this suggests that he has double standards: as long as he is compared to straight people, it is fine (cuz it is the supposed norm), whereas if compared to gays, it bothers him... Well, it shouldn't bother him. Do you get it now?
And btw, no one told you not to start debates - as long as you remain civil and you argument your views, no one will ever judge you for having an opinion. :p

Carian, thanks for explanation. Now I understand.
by the way, in original interview the question was "what is the most silly rumour you've ever heard about yourself" and the answer was "that I'm gay".
Nothing about "it's irritating", it bothers me etc.

so I think the most silly person in this forum am I, because I invented a word "irritating" out of nowhere and caused big discussion in which tried to prove something which never happened at all.

well that's a nice start somewhere...
and if somebody will ask Donny why does he hate gays or smth, that's gonna be my fault xfacepalm

P. s. He is in the top 50 of youtube, because it's my fault as well.

Excuse me, my point was different, i guess you misunderstood it?
My point was "he's just annoyed, not homophobic". That's all.
I see absolutely nothing homophobic in this guy. His irritation doesn't mean he grows hatered of the subject inside him and ends up in an anti-fan club waving a black flag shouting "KILL'EM ALL".
It's just annoyance.
It's like your kid screaming "I wannaiwannaiwannaiwannaiwannaiwanna" 5 minutes straight and you think to yourself "Oh god, i hate you so much right now", but is it really true? No.

If so, then Stripulis misquoted Donny in the first place in # 363 - oh, and now I've checked and Stripulis actually edited his own post, but you can see the original post in my reply # 384. Go back and check his first post what he wrote how Donny allegedly responded to the question of the journalist (or whoever questioned him). Basically, it turns out that the whole debate was totally meaningless.

However, on the other hand, I did misunderstand your joke about A. Jolie, but this doesn't mean I agree with you. I still stand firmly by my words that if he had said (but he didn't) that the comparison with gays annoyed him, it would actually mean he were homophobic. And comparison of an adult with child is out of place in this case. Have fun and c u around.

Are people sort of enjoying this song from Lithuania? I find traces of this other one in it:

Can't decide which one of them is worse.

Didn't comment on this one either, this song is like perfectly made for me not to like it. Really nothing for me to like here, have to give it a zero. :(

I really like this song, even though it's pretty much a generic pop song about love (which I normally dislike, but for this I'll make an exception).

I don't get all the hype about this song.
For me it's just another pop, radio friendly song like Hereos last year and I hated Mans's song

I do not find any hype around it. It is a catchy song - 10th position in my ranking. Russia would be top ten with this song, I hope Donny can reach the final. He deserves it.

The more I hear this the more I realise that 2016's got to be Donny's year - the song is just perfectly Eurovision :D
