Either I have to call someone to fix my gaydar - it is obviously malfunctioning again - or no one tried to get him drunk... You know, everything is possible when people are drunk - even if they have kids xslap

Well, I think that he does this on purpose - trying to be a sweet guy for the gays to like him. Cos it's no big secret, that many gays watch and vote in the Eurovision. Remember for example the boys group Take That - at first they were acting they are gays, while they are definitely not...

Btw, I'm also fascinated by this song... Didn't believe I will like it, but it was surprise.

Want him to qualify to be able to look twice at the show :) xheat

Well this lad's improved since we last saw him  This is amazing! What is this? The year of the Baltic? Three amazing entries :D This gets 12 from me! I'm still in the middle of listening to all the songs but this *could* be my favourite of 2016 ;)

Reason for editing - my words were dumb and I caused the irritation which I should have get for my words, not the person I cited. And that citation I by myself explained in such a way, that it caused misunderstanding.

if I would say that without my own thoughts, just plain and exact words... probably it would have ended in other way.

well .

Well it seems I was wrong, today was listening to his interview, and there was a question, what is the most irritating thing for you? And he has told that though he has a wife and a kid, people often says he is gay and he is not. So probably he is jiust sweet and is not trying to look like gay :) Just happens...

After reading this, Stripulis, I must say he is not getting my vote. His statement sounds very homophobic, if he really says it annoys him that people think he were gay. What is wrong with being considered gay? Even if he was, what is wrong with being gay? Total turn off. xslap

I'd use harsher words, but he is not worth of.

I had a straight friend who was flattered when gays were hitting on him. And I see girls smiling at me and flirting with me in clubs and in streets - and I don't scream at them WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TO THINK I AM STRAIGHT! God, he sounds as Putin's assistant.

I really don't think he is homophobic, never seen anything like that in his talking and so on, but I think it is normal to feel offended, when you say that you are not gay, but people keep telling you that and try to find some prove for it.
if you want examples, ok, so let's say you telling everybody that you are gay, it's not a secret for you, and it's also normal, you are proud for who you are as a person, cos sexual orientation is a big part for everybody. And let's say - nobody believes you ,everybody is telling, no you are not gay, you definitely lying, we know, if you would get drunk - you definitely would go with a girl, it means nothing you living with a boy.

I think it would be irritating for both sides, for gays and lesbians if people would tell them, no, you aren't, you just don't know who you are, or you just lying, and for straight people that would be irritating as well. and it's perfectly normal reaction in my opinion.

nothing homophobic in it.

see, what happens. gay can tell he is gay, proudly, and that is not seeing as an offence to hetero people, right?

so how come when a straight boy or girl says they are straight and NOTHING MORE, it is seen as an offence for gays? where is the logic?

I understand that earlier it was a really harsh and hard time for gays and lesbians, they were told rude things, but here I personally think you are overreacting.

for example I have a gay friend, and I am very happy that he is living with his personality and doesn't pretend he is straight, but I'm not telling him - you know you are lying, I think you are straight for sure, cos I remember how you've tried to be friends with girls back in school - how do you think he would react? I think pretty the same as Donny. And that wouldn't mean that he hates straight people or something like that.

See, there is even no word suitable, well, let's call it "heterophobic" :)

p. s. I know I have made an ethic violation when told knowing nothing that possibly Donny is looking so sweet boy cos he wants to be liked by straight guys and girls and by gays - but these were MY WORDS and FANTASIES, not his. And actually I can't know for sure what gays would like to see, so... I was a fool to speak about such things - sorry for that.

but still I think he is not homophobic, it's a pity it sounded like that. As I said earlier, I think it's normal to want that people would accept you as you are, doesn't matter, you are straight, or gay. And it's not an offensive thing.

This seems like a MF reject..and a very, very bad one..

I find this almost horrific…wait… why almost..IT IS HORRIBLE.. :(

And now I will be a bit brutal, sorry, but I simply have to..

Structure of the composition is so ugly and terrible, arrangement, singing and color of vocal are all totally unpleasent..

Thank you Lithuania, but this is the worst come back of some artist in ESC..not that I liked his previous entry, I totally disliked it, but it at least had structure and sense..this is well..better to stop here..

0 in the poll unfortunately! :(

Regardless of how long your explanation for Donny's words is, it doesn't change the fact that his statement was/is homophobic. And if you cannot see my perspective where I am coming from, it is pointless to enter a debate with you. I rest my case.

As for my suggestion about getting him drunk to test his sexuality, it is a nasty joke that I actually stole from a famous American drag queen Willam Belli in reference to his own cousin. But who cares.

I think in his case it's not about some people thinking he's gay, it's about how frequently it happens.
I mean, what's wrong with looking slightly like Angelina Jolie? Absolutely nothing. But people tell me that WAY TOO DAMN OFTEN.
Each time i hear that i want to punch these mfuckers in the face. And i start hating on Angelina

This is currently my second favourite of all the songs so far. I'm genuinely perplexed when people say they hate this song. It's an inoffensive, well constructed, quality pop song with loads of commercial value. What's not to like?!

Donny will no doubt qualify although I can see him finishing towards the bottom of the scoreboard unless he can make a big impression on stage. Hopefully he does, it deserves to be at least top 15 IMO.

Can't find anywhere such interview and if it actually was, I can't believe Donny said so. Maybe just misinterpretation. I mean, knowing that he was one of the first LT artists, who didn't have any problems to have his shows in gay clubs for LT gay community and overall is known as open minded person. He did say that during those shows gay guys tried to flirt with him, hug him or even more... but he politely drawn the line, which shouldn't be crossed (I know it shattered your dreams, Carian , but needed to write this :)).

You know, you don't have to offend me to defend Danny, cuz at the end, I really dont care. And honestly, you haven't shattered my dreams. My boyfriend is way hotter than he is. :)

Donny is such a mediocre singer and his songs are, by and large, mindless drivel. At least this isn't a total snoozefest like Love Is Blind. Though I still think it's dreadful. The poor guy really stinks of "trying to prove himself to somebody".

you know he has already proved here in Lithuania that he is somebody...

and what can you do in Eurovision if you don't believe in yourself? Why to come here then? It is the contest, and I personally think the many of the participants would like to win - and it's totally normal.

and about the example of Angelina Jolie - I'm starting to hate Angelina Jolie etc...

I've never heard or seen or read something of Donny that he would say - oh everybody thinks I'm gay, so I hate gays. Never. I see a big difference between - I don't like when people are wrong telling who I am and "I hate gays, it's awful thing that people think that I'm gay, because to be gay is a bad thing etc". The second sentence I wouldn't like. The first is totally normal, and I can't understand how is it possible to not see a difference. Could you please explain, Carian, this thing to me? You say you can't debate cos I can't understand your point, but how can I, if you refuse to debate?
Of course, I am new here, and if it is very wrong to debate on such themes, then I'll shut up (applause from everybody probably), but somebody must tell me this.
I don't like misunderstandings, as you probably can see...

I agree, I think he's completely out of touch with reality and nothing about him seems natural. He should stay in Sweden if he thinks he'd fit in better there, he's not doing Lithuania much good anyway. edit: I don't think I read the above post correctly before I liked it, whoops
