A great singer with a boring song. Not sure if he will make it into the final. I give 3 points.

Ok - What a lovely surprise - I didn't really like the song in studio version but his final performance is quite compelling and he is a very good vocalist, no doubt.

I wish his entry was less "radio-friendly and generic and inspired by Imagine Dragons" by numbers but it will make do.

:6: for now - will it be enough for :lv: to finally qualify? I don't think so but who knows... I would be happy for them to finally reach the GF - especially after last year.

It's definitely not my type of music, but Latvia made the right choice here. They're making the final and juries will eat it up in the final.

Hollow feels kind of.. well, hollow. I'm not a fan of these foot stompy, raise the roof Take Me To Church-esque ballads at all. Having said that, Dons has a pretty great voice, and there's something that's a bit bless about the live performance of his song. The simplicity works in its favour. Dons elevates things and there's certainly some good moments to be found within the 3 minutes.

I'm gonna hand over a respectable :6: points for now. I could have easily hated this entry but I don't, and so Hollow in that regard has already been quite a success with me.

Wow, really surprised here. At first i felt it was a bit "unremarkable" but quickly got captivated. The song is a little too simply for my usual taste, but the singer really delivers it. He has real personality, an authenticness that you usually don't get in these type of entires. They usually turn out too artificial, theatrical, but this didn't feel like that at all. I'm gonna have to listen to this a lot more, but it's definitely in the better half of entries so far.

Tumblr, mostly.
The problem is Dons, if we're honest. Just the combination of looking like a Who from Whoville AND also eappearing like he's about to die from an incurable illness. It's negative charisma that nobody can solve.

Shame because this is the first song since Heartbeat that feels competent enough. Maybe he ekes out a final if semi 2 turns out hopeless. But the outlook is not looking good.

Usually not a fan of ballads in ESC but this one impressed me. Not sure if it's Dons' vocals or is the song actually good but I like it.

The outfits has to go though, it's giving prisoner.

Not a fan of the winner, but got to know "The Cat´s song" through this NF, already one of my favorites of the whole NF season :-)

I’m not really feeling Hollow but I’m very happy for :lv: finally having a safe qualification song again and I respect Dons and his son for their quality. :7: generous points from me! It’s nice to have a quality song in a likely sea of fun songs.
