Poor and rural?!!!

Looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool xrollinglol

Moldova is much more poor than Kazakhstan, if you talk about the broadcaster - they can pay the annual fees. They just need money for the 1st huge*ss payment (when any broadcaster enters the EBU they have to pay once for entering this company and then much smaller annual fees).

2009 crisis screwed their plans as well as tense political relationships of EU with Kazakh president. During the last 2 years their EU integration improved a lot, as well as their financial state.

Anyway.

EBU has already broadcasted OSCE summit together with the Kazakh broadcaster. Live, during the whole week.
Technically it's possible.

Btw, Kazakhstan used to broadcast Eurovision too.

It's up to EBU only. They didn't accept anyone last year - not Liechtenstein, not 2nd Moroccan broadcaster, not Kazakhstan.
Maybe next year.

I chat once with an Kazakh Beauty Queen in the Russian Facebook, she is verry frienddly and verry fan of ESC ))) But she can't stand that when she overseas trip, the people make jokes of his country when asked by Borat and also in Kazakhstan are tired of it.

I know, but the entire movie regards the most frightful part of Kazakhstan, and most people who see this movie they are think this country is so.

Hmm I cant sww how there is any kind of interest in Kazakhstan for ESC...just because there is ESCKAZ it dowsnt mean nothing..
The time zone is also really bad...and I wouldnt mind that much but with more ex-soviet countries Russia would literally win every year as log as they bring at least average songs

Just shows how less you know about them :geek:

As for Russia ... they finished 11th in 2010. Even additional 12 wouldn't helped them xrollinglol Same goes to 2009.

When Western countries come back en mass it's unfair to be so prejudiced against ex-Soviet area ;)

Do you thing that all the CIS (Including your country) will betray his tastes in their suport them to win ..??? - That is the fear of the Westen ESC Fan about Kazakhstan...¡¡¡:lol:

Welcome Kazakhstan! They have a geographical European part, they are culturally more or less European so I see no problem imo.

And about Kazakhstan being poor or whatever? Kazakhstan is richer than a handful of countries already taking part in Eurovision so that argument is not working, also the geographical argument is not working because as pointed out they have a European part (It's kinda similar as with Turkey, only the Kazakh European part is bigger).

Borat has nothing in common with Kazakhstan. I hated that movie.
And Kazakhstan isn't poor at all. So, I'd love to see them taking part at the contest. I just wonder which country will get 12 points from them - Russia or Turkey? ;)

Re: KAZAKHSTAN 2012

^ No, Borat has nothing to do with Kazakhstan. In fact Kazakhstan is a beautiful, wealthy, new and modern country. It has big nature wealths (like petrol and nature gas) and many of the kazakh people are good fighters and good engineers actually. It`s a country with big potential.

In fact "Borat" was shot in the great super powerfull strong and full of glory country of Romania

I think Kazakhstan will give 8 to Azerbaijan, 10 to Russia and 12 to Turkey. And in some years the points will be others, but the countries will be the same (I think), but Turkey will get the 12 points which isn`t such a pain in the a$$, because I think Turkey is starting to send some really quality music to ESC in recent years. ;)

Re: KAZAKHSTAN 2012

It should be Azerbaijan or Turkey imo, Kazakhs will choose one of these Turkic brothers

Highly doubt it. Kazakhstan has more in common with Russia, the Caucasus countries and Ukraine than Turkey.

Around 1/3 of the population are Russian (and some other Slavic minorities), the major language is Russian (in TV, music, radio etc.) and the overall Russian cultural influence is big. Relations are deeper with Russia than with Turkey.

I can see Kazakhstan being friends with Azerbaijan in Eurovision though since they got alot in common, but Turkey I think will be further down their list actually.

Russia will get 12p from Kazakhstan I believe, Azerbaijan 10p and then Turkey & Ukraine will fight for the 8p from Kazakhstan.
