You compare apples with pears here. Very much difference I would say
"Nebo" and "The Start" weren't catchy songs. So Ukraine and Malta rather won, thanks to Anastasiya's and Gaia's good vocals. "Diamonds" also isn't suitable to win a Junior Eurovision competition, but Federica's voice could do it.

I will try to guess too! Even if it is impossible to guess the outcome with so many great performers and songs, I have no idea really. But I tried to guess how all countries will vote in the final, and the results turned out to be a real nail-biter in the end. Here are the final score (Number of 12s except the 12 all gets):

1. :ru: 110p (2)
2. :mt: 109p (2)
3. :it: 105p (2)
4. :am: 96p (3)
5. :sl: 90p (1)
6. :bg: 89p
7. :rs: 84p (3)
8. :cy: 64p (1)
9. :ua: 63p
10. :nl: 57p (1)
11. :by: 54p
12. :ge: 52p
13. :se: 46p
14. :me: 44p
15. :hr: 31p
16. :sm: 30p

This is just made for fun, but I do still believe that it will be a nail-biter on saturday between the top 4 especially. Russia may win, mostly cause it got many russians voting in their neighbours, but also for being a competent song with a good singer that will do well among juries in all countries. Malta is the one song that is standing out the most I should say. When everyone is this good as they all are, the deciding factor for the voters may be the one that has that something special, and Fredirica does a unique voice and stage preference. Despite being opera, I still believe that Malta is in the game for sure. Italy may surprise many, why are they in the top? Well, just think of all the moms out there who has sons and feel warm feelings over this poor lonely boy in this competition. Add also the popularity the Italian language has and the vocal ability of this kid. Don't be shocked if Italy goes away with it on Saturday. And Armenia is the last one in the race, it is for me the absolutely best uptempo song of the evening. I understand that people may think it is a bit annoying, but what ESC-winners hasn't been annoyingly good too.... This will get lots of votes from it ex-soviet friends (12s from the ones that hate Russia for example) and high from other countries as well.
When I try to guess the vote I always say that don't take it so seriously, it is made for fun as I wrote and it is not unusual for me having totally wrong (I even had Dustin The Turkey qualifying in 2008, that says it all), but I found it interesting and in some parts I do get right!

Does anyone know what time JESC starts in the UK? I think we are one hour behind CET, I just want to make sure!
Bulgaria seem very unlucky to be in the "death" slot, could they be the first winner to perform in that slot?

Wht is your explanation about these songs getting good results? If the songs would have been absolute crappy, they wouldn´t have done so well that they did

I can tell that one of our websites Poplight thinks we will finish last.

But on the other side, they think :cy: and :bg: will finish low. So they shouldn´t be taken seriously

This time tomorrow the 2014 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be in full swing, when the participants will be taking to the stage in hope of bringing the trophy home with them. Right now the Jury Final is happening when 50% of the results will be determined, and will be combined with the televote results tomorrow night.

It's just thing one thing after another with Bulgaria. Bless. I feel so sorry for her. At least she was able to perform her song again after the power came back.

edit: pmsl at the comments on the link calling it sabotage. xrofl3

It shouldn´t be JESC or ESC without any technical failure. But I most say that Fortune are not with :bg: in that case since it happen earlier this day too. Good that they got to perform again. Yep Ashley, it are equally pathetic like the ******** about that SVT and DR tried to manipulate the ESC 2013 and 2014

But :bg:, that can only mean one thing, you will almost surely come in top 3 (remember Saade and Nielsens technical problems in senior ESC)

This must be a real headache for the production team though. What happens if the power shuts down during tomorrows live broadcast?
