I've been listening for all the songs now!

My top 3 would be:

1. :by: Belarus - such a good song with uptempo (reminds me a bit of Only Teardrops) and the girl can acutally sing!
2. :bg: Bulgaria - REALLY strong vocal, just love it!
3. :sl: Slovenia - Also a really powerful song, i really love it and it's so great composed.

I wouldn't mind if one of these 3 songs winning on Saturday!

That is my top 3, I would just put Slovenia as 2nd and Bulgaria as 3rd. Cyprus is a close 4th.

Well I think that Bulgaria could still do rather good from number 2. I mean, JESC is the only Eurovision-like contest where a winning song had number 2 (Croatia in 2003)

I am happy with our position. Although I'm not so happy that we are performing between :ru: and :mt: but I believe in Emilija.

I will soon post my opinion about the songs, I have listened to all of them thoroughly and I have my ranking as well.

I think that with this draw either :hr: or :sm: will finish last, :sl:, :nl: or :mt: could win and :bg: :by: :cy: maybe would not get as high as espected

My favorites is: (except my own country) :nl:, :cy: and :bg:. The two first is Julias biggest threats as they also has uptempo songs, :cy: almost sound just like "Du är inte ensam". The thing however that :cy: is missing is a good chorus.

The question is, will :cy: be able to maintain the build-up in the song despite missing a chorus on stage. I´m not so sure right now.

As for :nl:, anything else than top 3 would be a great shock. Maybe a second victory?

:bg: gives us a great song that will make top 5 for sure, even a win is possible. It will be interesting to see how they do it on stage

Julia has a great chorus but a bit weaker verses. Is that enough to make top 10 or even top 5? Time will tell but as I told you earlier, :rs: and :se: are dark horses and can do better than many predicted. It is at least one country each year that does better than many predicted before.

the biggest flop can very much likely be :mt:, the juries are gonna love it probably but will opera make all Viewers around Europe vote for it? I highly doubt that

My prediction for our entry: 5-8th Place

you comment on the juries loving opera and viewers not liking it, I think are actually wrong. xshrug recent history in ESC has shown us that the viewers like opera much more than the juries (Romania 2013 & Sweden 2009). Of course that doesn't mean that Opera will appeal to the much younger viewers who will be watching JESC.

Agreed. To quote my driving theory books, "Children are unreliable and their actions cannot be predicted.". For all we know Armenia could score very highly because a lot of kid voters like the colour of Betty's dress, children may not appreciate the power of Federica's voice.

Click here to see the rehearsals from half of the contestants: https://www.youtube.com/user/JuniorEurovision/videos

It is the rehearsals from :bg: :cy: :se: :ua: :it: :am: :ru: :nl:

I must say that all the kids looks very promising, everyone is stepping up an another notch. Biggest suprises for me seems Italy and Cyprus, but they are all looking great. Gonna be an amazing show next saturday! :D

EDIT: I forgot to add...BUT SWEDISH JULIA HAS A BIT ENGLISH IN HER SONG! I mean, it is stupid not having it when everyone else has it basically. (Almost wish she had more english...cause it sounds much more cool than swedish)

I love Croatia's staging. Too bad her singing is so awful. Croatia deserves to get last but I'm sure San Marino will be last. This year's contest is really hard to predict so I'm extra excited for Saturday :D
