I love the Belarussian entry :D its kinda funky and I love the fact they used their actual native language. Probably will end up being my number one after all songs are sent :)

The line-up is very female biased so far, with eight girl entries and just one boy (maybe there aren't as many boys in the age range that want to be singers).

Does anyone know where there are English lyrics for Sokol? I've done a rough translation through Google and 4lyrics.eu is just a mess at the moment.

Also Ukraine can't be seriously sending Pryyde Vesna?! I love it and all but it's a very interesting choice given the war in Ukraine and the international situation with Russia at the moment like.

So the gender balance for the main performers is now:

xfemale - 10

xmale - 1

That's got to be the most extreme gender balance in any Eurovision competition!

Good to see :sl: Slovenia taking part, hopefully it will be a success for them and the other debutants, and they will take part next year as well.

The latest #AskVlad was posted on the JESC youtube page a few days ago:
#AskVlad: About Voting at Junior Eurovision - YouTube

In it he reveals:
The televoting and jury split results will be published this year
Some countries failed to reach the televoting threshold in JESC 2012 and 2013, but all televotes will be counted for JESC 2014

My only concern is that the split results might reveal that one country has done particularly badly, which would be very upsetting for the child/ children representing that country, but hopefully that won't happen.

I think that is the reason why San Marino gave Malta 12p last year and Sweden got 12 from Albania in 2012. And why Azerbaijan got the 10 from them.

Here is song from Cyprus.

I thought she would sing a ballad and I'm kind of disappointed that she didn't. The song okay but I don't think it will really stand out.
