Absolutely same here. I think so far the artists are weaker than last year. I had more songs I could support last year, this time I like Noemi most also. Don't understand why Mahmood e Blanco are the favorite.

Had a quick listen through and my instant favourite is 'Due centomila ore' by Ana Mena Love it!

Absolutely same here. I think so far the artists are weaker than last year. I had more songs I could support last year, this time I like Noemi most also. Don't understand why Mahmood e Blanco are the favorite.

Well, Mahmood is a great artist and he's also well-known to the international audience, since he got 2nd place on Eurovision in 2019. I don't really understand why he enterred Sanremo with a song that's totally not his style though. Everyone expected a rap/pop banger, but instead we got a mediocre ballad.

Brividi feels like the big grower that I will fully appreciate later on, but maybe doesn't meet the sky high expectations on the first replay. I am pretty sure many other countries would love to have it in their selection

I also feel some potential with Dargen D'Amico, Gianni Morandi, Rkomi, Ana Mena and La Rappresentante di Lista.

Sorry but Mahmood is not only rap/pop singer, he sing also beautiful ballad in the past. The same for Blanco, he is extravagant!

Don't, 'nough crying for tonight.

Resumé - can we agree that Italy should send Maneskin to the ESC with Coraline. Sanremo festival can be called over from now.

Just joking, but seeing them there with other contestants, one obviously sees a universe btw them and the rest.

Overall, of all the acts we've seen, I'll rate it like this

1. LRDL and Rkomi.

Rkomi surprised me really. Lots of Monkeys' Britt pop rock vibes (Hey Nil Points Country Hear it Out Take Me Out haha).

LRDL was the best and most complete act of the night and is ESC friendlier than Rkomi. But if I had to choose a song to play at home to enjoy, I'd go with Rkomi.

2. Noemi. Beautiful song, a singer that stands out from all female vocalists due to recognizable vocal (and looks of course, but vocal is the line of divison).

3. Achille Lauro - not because I like it 10/10, but it was a mess that would be appreciated on the ESC haha.

The contrast he wanted to achieve with a gospel choir, both in terms of music and visuals, didn't quite work for me (I usually love crossovers) and it was really weird. But weird works well on the ESC and that's enough.

Mahmood disappointing with Justin Bieber's song, but as much as I understood the lyrics, this is doomed to be Italian first date and Valentine's Day hit.

Yes. Untill Coraline tied a notch around it. Hahaha

The rest is as expected from Sanremo, Italian mass pop production for Italian, a bit of Spanish market, and that's it.

Dislike for Dargen as well, we saw some Brava thing on Benidorm fest, same allure, same appeal, no.

Going to rest @mauve as you should as well haha.
