Sanremo 2021: Vote for YOUR favourite!

Loro non sanno di che parlo
Voi siete sporchi, fra’, di fango
Giallo di siga’ fra le dita
Io con la siga’ camminando
Scusami, ma ci credo tanto
Che posso fare questo salto
Anche se la strada è in salita
Per questo ora mi sto allenando

E buonasera signore e signori
Fuori gli attori
Vi conviene toccarvi i coglioni
Vi conviene stare zitti e buoni
Qui la gente è strana, tipo spacciatori
Troppe notti stavo chiuso fuori
Mo’ li prendo a calci, ‘sti portoni
Sguardo in alto, tipo scalatori

No

Io ho scritto pagine e pagine
Ho visto sale, poi lacrime
Questi uomini in macchina

Tu portami dove sto a galla
Che qui mi manca l’aria
E parla la gente, purtroppo
Parla, non sa di che cosa parla
Tu portami dove sto a galla
Che qui mi manca l’aria
Parla la gente, purtroppo
Parla, non sa di che cazzo parla
Tu portami dove sto a galla

This passage differs slightly from what we are saying but I took it as an example to make you understand that Croatia has a strong love for the classical tradition. Furthermore, I add that this culture and love is also the same in many nations of Eastern Europe that overlook the Adriatic Sea, to which the distant Russia is also added.

I understand why you voted for us and I thank you. Anyway ... "the system" has defeated us. No, no! The juries have never "hit" Italy! The Maneskin were also pushed to 4th position! 😆

I hope that Bosnia and Herzegovina can compete in the ESC 2022 and bring a song like that of Dragojevic 😍

Croatia had already sent a similar entry in 2013, a traditional Dalmatian klapa.

Went great with televote in semis and then, guess who disqualified it - the juries. The Il Volo should have learned from us hahhaha.

Bosnian music is quite different from Croatian. Hari's Leyla which is in top 50 of the televote is, let's say, a modernized version of traditional Bosnian music.

However Bosnia has great modern artists, I think this particular song written in English (so listen to it, it's trully hillarious and amazing!!!) would have won even the ESC with its crazy music, vibe, humour and lyrics ahhaha (if it was politically correct haha).

Dubioza Kolektiv - No escape from Balkan.

It resembles a lot Ukrainian entry.

Actually, the Balkans are very musically diverse due to different cultural influences on a small territory. Even within our small countries the musical traditions vary significantly. E.g. in Croatia northern parts of the country, eastern Slavonia, Istria (former Italian region), they all have different musical tradition and even tastes in modern music.

In Bosnia there are also different musical style depending on the regions.

I have just read your chat about singing in English and I'm not sure that it is AS important as before to achieve an international career : kpop is a proof that a lot of (mostly young) people enjoy music even if it's on a language barely anyone knew before this huge wave.

And I don't know worldwide wise but in France at least Italian language is very liked and we know some songs in Italian. Maybe it would be more difficult with a less well-known language (idk 🤓) but to me kpop shows that it's still possible.

The victory of the Maneskin has not yet been digested. After the "Coca-Gate", Joris Lissens accused the Maneskin of plagiarism. Could it be a technique to exploit the Maneskin visibility? Or the famous group "H.A.T.E.R.S." did you change your strategy? Is Uto behind all this? xthinkxrofl

I think all winners of the 21st century have been accused of some kind of plagiarism or a scandal, and Maneskin obviously wouldn't be an exception. It's not the first time and won't be the last for sure. Just ignore and laugh it away, instead of making deep conspiracy theories. xheat xheat

Ooooh how did I miss this!

Let me remind you of what you did on this thread:

1. You had intentionally spread false information on cocaine use immediately after the Grand Final on this thread

2. In the following days you came here, you tagged several Turkish speaking members of the forum who have never been on this thread, and posted a twitter video from a Turkish movie where an actor impersonating a crazy person calls everybody crazy.

You have intentionally mocked with others of your group the users here calling us all crazy. A typical group mob.

The only stupid thing to overlook was not knowing that I speak Turkish.

You have been only lucky that I didn't translate your message and the meaning to it to the Italians and others here, otherwise you would have needed whole Adana to defend you.

Now you are per definitionem a hater and a troller. And you still preach here who is a hater??? Wow now that's some moral.

Also, haters are easily recognizable, even from the subcontext and despite not being outspoken. For instance, like here...

Accusations of plagiarism have always existed and always will exist. However, it seems to me that such a thing has never happened in the history of the ESC. If it had happened, the timing of the Dutch band after the Maneskin won the drug charges is strange. Read this article and you will see how the 1992 song was not on the internet but was uploaded by "The Vendettas" only after ESC 2021. It's a clear pubblicitarian move. Anyway, do you want to know who are the biggest viewers of the Dutch song? Maneskin fans who want to understand the story. This is written in the article.

Are you talking about conspiracy theories when Terim ordered the boycott of Italian pizza after the draw between our national team and Ireland? xrofl On that occasion, Italy did not need to play with "death to the teeth" and risk yellow cards and injuries. The famous "biscuit" was only the one between Sweden and Denmark 2-2xshrug

Ikr, and even inside the regions it can differ from town to town, not to mention village to village. But I would love to see the rage and chaos that would your average Herzegovinian make (be it west or east) if anyone compared their music to any of the northern regions.

Not only that, imagine an insult to the Eastern Herzeg. that he speaks the same language or has same traditions as a Western Herzeg., including music, and vice versa as well. 🤣 (From which bank of Neretva and Trebizat is his family? 🤣🤣🤣).

It is a question of "intellectual honesty". There is no distinction between Italians and Turks. My sister's best friend is Turkish and there are many Turks who are intelligent and very hospitable people. I don't judge the Turks for what EscTurkey did. Even in Italy there are unpleasant people but an entire people cannot be judged because of a minority.

I laugh about it but it is sad enough to observe that everyone is trying in every way to hit the Maneskin xpunish It's okay to joke, it's okay to be competitive, it's also okay not to like a nation but I have seen that some Eurofans have a strong hatred towards the Italian representatives. It seems that Italy's victory has deeply hurt some people xqueenbitch

One of my best friends in Japan was from Naples. I visited her in Italy some years ago, I had great time there and spent time with so many Italian people with whom I'm still in contact with. People are overall very friendly and the food was perfect for my liking. Actually the ESC next year in Italy might be my first experience to watch the show in the arena and I'm looking forward to it.

NOW this is the very last time I'm explaining this (give a huge applause for my patience to say this for the 100th time), I like your country, I like some of Italy's ESC songs, as a broke student I spent money to vote for Italy in the past :D , I love some Italian songs out of the ESC bubble BUT I see zero appeal in your ESC 2021 entry, and what you don't understand is that I'm not obliged to love it or present you a valid reason for disliking it. Capito? Stop seeking unrealistic reasons behind my dislike on the entry. If Azerbaijan sent Maneskin, or Bosnia, I would still hate it. I judge songs totally stripped of my national identity and ABOVE ALL, TURKEY AND ITALY HAVE 0 MAJOR HOSTILITY IN HISTORY klşgşfdglfsşlkjdfsdf If I was biased against some countries, believe me Italy wouldn't even make top 30 :D In fact Israel, Armenia, Greece, Serbia and Cyprus are my favorite ESC countries, despite the political and historical disagreements with my country (which I personally don't feel any connection with).

Tastes differ and there will always be people who hate the winning song, look at Salvador Sobral, he won with recordbreaking points but the song still has so many haters. And those haters don't hate it because they have some sort of grudge against the country of Portugal or what not.

I will not take you seriously from now on. Nobody can patronize me and my taste. I am free to like and dislike whatever I want and if you get in my way you will be ignored smh lol tbh ngl #bye #donthavetimetoreadanotherencyclopedialengthpostfromyou #wontgetareplyfrommeanymore #wontmiss #whatever #i'llcallyoulater

I'll answer you with some scattered considerations. I will split the speech to make you better understand the gaps in your thinking:

-) I went to read some of your posts in last year's thread and your words to Diodato weren't soft. Specifying that you liked "some Italian voices" is generalizing. What did you like? Specific. Also, are you sure you didn't like what you considered least dangerous to win? It's easy. This happens every year. EscYOUnited's "Big Brother" itself demonstrated how the weakest songs were carried on and the strongest were hindered from the start. Also, let's take the case of the unbridled love of some forum members towards some songs like San Marino, Latvia, Estonia, Denmark etc ... that at the end of the games did not pass the qualifications, received a handful of points or none. If there really were all these fans ... why did these songs fail? Really, according to the adrenaline aroused in some Eurofans, did anyone think that Senhit got all those few votes?

-) You can "hate" (the term is excessive for me) a song but not its musical landscape considering it "overrated" or at the same level as a "fart".

-) Your nice words, your pleasant stay in Italy (which like Turkey is a Mediterranean country - obviously you like it because there are similarities) and your alleged friendships are in contrast with your trolling, with your offending Italian songs in a precise and systematic way (together with your drinking friends) and with your accusing the Maneskin of being drug addicts and we Italians "victims of conspiracy theories". Maybe I was the one who was inattentive but I've never seen you put so much force into other threads.

-) I am happy not to have a hostile climate. I love peace and brotherhood but Italy and Turkey have been hostile in the past. You write with ignorance (Parla, la gente purtroppo parla, non sa di che cosa parla. Tu portami dove sto a galla che qui mi manca l'aria... xmetal) unfortunately. From 29 September 1911 to 18 October 1912 there was the "Italo-Turkish War" for the control of Libya. Going back in time there was from 1499 to 1503 the "Turkish-Venetian War" for the dominance of the eastern Mediterranean. Wanting to continue writing, the "Papal State" together with some European states called the Crusades to oppose the Turkish invasions and I add that the "Papal State" gave the kingdoms of Austria and Hungary and most of the peoples of Eastern Europe the role of to stem the Turkish advance: a sort of European marquis, protectors of the borders. Vlad Tepes himself (who later became famous with Stoker's "Dracula") was a fervent anti-Turkish Christian who was then relegated to a "dark figure" because of his cruel way of governing (he enjoyed impaling people by the butt) . If you combine religious difference with this, you can understand that your words are quite meaningless. However, I don't think you're in bad faith in this case. You're a troller and that's it.

-) You took Salvador Sobral as an example. In that case he won not the song itself (Tatanka's was better) but the singer's past (if I'm not mistaken with heart disease), his being against the grain and his ability to "create magic" on stage. Sobral managed to "hypnotize" the European audience. This is a sensible comment from a music lover. Did you read in these lines that I have offended Portugal or Sobral? I analyzed the strengths and weaknesses.

-) Do Maneskins have 0 appeal? You are a music connoisseur. A large part of the European audience, Skunk Anansie, Duran Duran and many other well-known artists complimented our band. If we want to make a criticism that Maneskin Rock is a "Pop Rock" (with Hard Rock, Glam Rock and Rapcore influences), I tell you that you are right. But what else could most of the audience agree on? The Maneskins are just bringing to the fore the genre that has now made its way to a small group of fans. Damiano's words "The Rock will never die" testify to this.

It is useless to mask your way of being. You only prove to be false and ignorant. I wrote it to you a few days ago, your words will encompass you like quicksand. Silence is often much more successful than a thousand words xqueenbitch

They deserve all the love and attention. I'm truly impressed by how diverse and yet how cohesive they sound.

Maneskin ballads, in particular, are astonishing. Musically and lyrically. I can't get over the fact they're in their early twenties... Heck, some of these pearls were written in their teens.

Impressive.

Coraline is my favorite at the moment as well. Got a bit late to it. Now it just haunts me night and day.
