Sanremo 2021: Vote for YOUR favourite!

Loro non sanno di che parlo
Voi siete sporchi, fra’, di fango
Giallo di siga’ fra le dita
Io con la siga’ camminando
Scusami, ma ci credo tanto
Che posso fare questo salto
Anche se la strada è in salita
Per questo ora mi sto allenando

E buonasera signore e signori
Fuori gli attori
Vi conviene toccarvi i coglioni
Vi conviene stare zitti e buoni
Qui la gente è strana, tipo spacciatori
Troppe notti stavo chiuso fuori
Mo’ li prendo a calci, ‘sti portoni
Sguardo in alto, tipo scalatori

No

Io ho scritto pagine e pagine
Ho visto sale, poi lacrime
Questi uomini in macchina

Tu portami dove sto a galla
Che qui mi manca l’aria
E parla la gente, purtroppo
Parla, non sa di che cosa parla
Tu portami dove sto a galla
Che qui mi manca l’aria
Parla la gente, purtroppo
Parla, non sa di che cazzo parla
Tu portami dove sto a galla

As for cocaïne, yes it has been everywhere in news, because it's a "fun fact" but who cares ! People are happy for Barbara because she has done the best result since 1991, only that.
The important is that Barbara and the head of French TV congratulated Maneskin for their deserved Victory, saying that the votes were clear and that they haven't done any complaint or claim.
Who gives a rat ass to a few trolls, or even worse a State Secretary nobody knows who tries to look like he's doing something.

So congratulations Italy. No France being France. This is racism and there IS no place for that here. Poor Valentina who is only 11 already had to suffer from that.

And before going to sleep I just want to say that maybe you think my posts are here to defend France but in fact I just hope that all this will stop fast so everyone will be happy again and we could just share funny memes. (unless some angry Italians are okay to help French people making a revolution and chop chop fake-journalists (and président Macron at the same time) like we chop chop woods, hum, welcome to the hood).

She congratulated, but then added, that "it is not any of her business to worry whether somebody was taking drugs or had stripped his pants off. EBU should take care about DIGNITY of the contest".

Ok, her distancing from drugs allegations, let's say it is OK. Though she could have stood for a colleague in a different way, as the same thing may happen in this world of media mud to her as well.

However, when she mentioned stripped pants (btw Damiano was left naked as pants got torn when he fell) and the term DIGNITY within that context, that was very poisonous comment about the winner of the ESC and she showed she didn't accept being defeated with dignity.

I must add it also seemed as a very underestimating comment of a narrow-minded high class wannabe.

In that context you should understand the today's Voila by Damiano David on his IG.

For those who can’t take a bare leg: get used to it. It is so iconic it will come back to haunt you for YEARS. Lol.

What ? Nothing was said about dignity ? She only said, and it's a direct translation : "Firstly, I don't care, it doesn't concern me, and secondly, which is real, is that these people were elected both by jury and public. If they take drugs, if they put their pants backward, it's not my problem." End of story. https://fr.news.yahoo.com/20h30-dimanche-barbara-pravi-donne-191711872.html

Sorry if I'm defensive but I'm sick of people interpreting things the wrong way. Zitti e buoni is a good song, Maneskin didn't take drugs, and we shouldn't bash others just for the sake of it when they said nothing wrong.

Some meaning just gets lost in translation. Don’t worry Frenchies. We still love you. People suck equally everywhere. Just ignore what some haters say.

Those who have lost should take the loss with dignity and those who have won should do the same. No need for all these insults.

Why "fortunately wasn't wrong"? Why do people feel the need to back the winner? Some songs get hype and people follow the betting odds almost like if they back the winner they feel they have won as well.

Last year's Italian song was by far the best they have sent since they returned. Over the last decade I've enjoyed more from other places such as Azerbaijan and Spain.

I feel the Finnish rock/metal song had a wide appeal, so that shouldn't be ignored.

Because the entry I predict as a winner often doesn´t win ;-) And in this case I am not following the odds, e.g. before the Grand Finals I predicted France as the winner in 2018, Italy in 2017 or Hungary in 2014.
So I just was happy that one of my overall favorites + a rock song + a song/country that means at least 2 friends a lot was winning and so my final prediction was right.

I don't bother predicting or looking at the betting odds because the hyped entries very very rarely have much interest for me. I'm not part of a gang cheering on some favourite but I'm fine with that. The same with other music, I'll just find my own path.

I went to check myself then.
Yes, just Fake news. And bold characters don't make it more correct...
Indeed, it's just very irritating to see that everything always jumps on racism towards us while the French Eurovision team said nothing but Congratulations to Maneskin...

Congrats to Måneskin and Italy!
I have to admit the first time I heard the song in SanRemo it completely flew past me. It grew on me with every repeated listen and when I saw their ESC staging it was undeniable they did deliever an overall strong package that stood out a lot in this year's competition.

I was actually very surprised to see their emotional reaction when they realized they won. Didnt expect that. It was really cute and genuine and just made me happy for them.

You are partially right. I checked. Here https://wiwibloggs.com/2021/05/24/f...-potential-disqualification-an-option/265484/

Beaune, a member of French delegation, called for defence of DIGNITY.

Barbara later on, after initial statement to France 2, corrected her statement on Maneskin.

However, the pants thing I will not forget her hahaha.

You know, maybe I am a petty person (like Damiano with Voila haha), but IMO in these type of stories, you are either a human or you are not. You have to have an opinion.

A diplomatic "IDC really" was not great person reaction.

Yes, and the pants comment, I ain't forgetting. I'm sorry Barbara. When you don't care of anything, how come you noticed those pants hababa.

#PettyAndIDon'tCareReally 🤣

Let's review some of the basic principles of a criminal trial:
1. The accusator has the burden of proof; the proof must be accurate, real and effective - in this case it was not.
2. The accused has nothing to prove, he's innocent until proven guilty.

So, the accused one had to humiliate himself by volunteering for a drug test, while the witch hunters enjoyed the mud-throwing. The press spread the news even in the US, potentially seriously hurting the band's career, in a world where fake news circulate fast. An accusation without a proof is called defamation, a criminal offence. Since the defamator(s) have not apologised nor provided rectifications to their slandering - and even if they had done so - the only way to deal with these clowns is filing a lawsuit.

Yes and all of them. All. Including Macron's adviser. Because when they catch their colleague politician in a corruption affair they all say he is innocent until proved guilty. They could have said the same thing about Damiano also. 🤣🤣

And btw what French minister and a pol adviser to the President has to do with commenting ESC?? Who is he? I'd understand if a comment was given by Dutch Minister of Interior. But who is this guy?? And why is he relevant? 🤣🤣

Damiano's "Voilà" isn't aimed at Barbara but to those who, in her 'behalf', thought it was okay to defame him. Let's not pit one artist against another and fuel this insanity further.

Italians are - rightly - angry at those people that spread such cruel accusations and want them to be sued ( imagine if something went wrong and Damiano couldn't defend himself - his name tainted forever - ... I mean, the news reached the US ffs ) nothing against french people in general, some tweets and memes are just a way to laugh and vent.
