Tumblr, mostly.
The song didn’t convince me either, but it rubs me the wrong way if he participates with some other song. It is like spitting in the face of the same audience that felt your song was good enough to win a coveted prize.
The Italians don't give a fuck about Eurovision or who their rep is, so don't fret about it.

And if they do care about 'Fai Rumore', then they deserve to get slapped in the face when it receives 12 points total in the televote. (Jk. It's Italy. They'll get 120 just based on flag alone. Grrrrr.)

You're being delusional if you think is not going to compete with Fai rumore

Diodato already said he won't translate it which is a right away confirmation Fai rumore is the song for Eurovision. Probably RAI needs to send OFFICIALLY all the documents to the EBU

I would've loved, if Italy was sending this one. I know they weren't in the competition, but still xyaay

This song is probably the first disagreement I have with the masses (at least here, in YT people don't seem to be big fans of the song).

Assuming Diodato will bring "Fai Rumore" to Rotterdam, I'm not seeing this winning anyway.

If that didn't happen in 2017 or 2019, It won't happen in 2020 - I don't think this will be the act the average eurovision viewer will be most impressed with.

In my opinion this is a solid and beautiful ballad, but nothing here screams winner to me. Probably I will need the shortened version of the song to reformulate my thoughts.

You are completly wrong.
It seems that Italy doesn't care about ESC but if you analyse a bit the facts you could notice that Italy has send to ESC most of its famous or valid artists.
You may think that winning Sanremo is simple....NOT AT ALL. A very very strong selection is made just to admitt the song in the competition. But it isn't enough. To win you should pass through a combination of demoscopic jury ( 300 members ), press or quality jury ( this year more then 1200 jurors) and televote.
All the Italian ESC artists are famous in Italy and this is what we can offer without proposing songs made only for ESC and without SINGING IN ENGLISH.
It is not the FLAG which gets the points but what you propose to the public. You may like or not the italian music or Esc entries but with one thing we agree. THEY ARE DIFFERENT from what usually is proposed in ESC, and the audience, jury or a mix of them appreciate what Italy brings.

If it's not "Fai rumore", Italy is still a country to watch

Mostly I never get onto the hype-train. That's why mostly my supporting acts fail in the NF or in the semis. Only in very rare cases I jump onto that hype-train because I love the song. And Fai rumore is such a one. Got me from the first moment.

This is a great song of course, and a superb artist. He won a SR.However i get the feeling the press etc rallied around one act to stop other people winning. The podium voting confirms this. This should get a nice jury vote at ESC,but i doubt very much this will challenge the win.Lower top 10 would seem the limit at this stage.

You have a wrong feeling. The press jury voted what they liked more, not to prevent Gabbani s win. The same thing happened last year with Mahmood, even then last year the quality jury was composed by only 12 jurors. This year the press jury was composed by more then 1000 journalists., 200 of them foreigners. And consider that we are in Italy and not in Ukraine Azerbaijan or Russia where a minister or a president can decide who's is going to Esc.
Hopefully our press is free. And all the journalists were free to vote whatever they liked.
About top 10? I would be very happy.

I don`t get the hype ... like at all?! Guess I`m missing something. Then again people tend to (massively) overrate Italy every year imo.

WTF do you mean with overrating Italy? You mean Italy is overrated according to their results? Or expectations? Because their results are always great.

Exactly this. When it comes to quality I don’t and won’t accept a criticism on the quality of Sanremo especially in a community where national selections like Melodifestivalen, 90% of which consists of trash entries and advertisement oriented entries are over appreciated and overhyped. Sanremo is unique to its own and no country has any quality content while electing their entries like Italy does.

An interesting article Who is the real winner of Sanremo, analyzing all the rankings after one week. According to all the charts on YouTube, iTunes, Spotify Diodato is first then Gabbani and Achille Lauro.
