I agree with @A-lister on that this sounds so dated. ngl the whole SanRemo was uninteresting to me aside from a few entries. It is freaking 2020, I want people to get a little more creative than this and no I don't mean just uptempo by that. Do better. bye.
can I ask you how old are you?

Personally I feel the main problem with this entry is that it's so nondescript and anonymous. You could replace with just about any other Sanremo ballad and most people couldn't tell the difference. I understand keeping to your roots, but entries like "Soldi" and "Occidentali's Karma" both accomplished the same thing while also being far more standout and interesting. With "Fai rumore" it's a well put together song, but nothing about it lights my fire because it's so inherently, well, same-y

I am actually quite glad this is received with mixed opinions. Diodato will easily find his way to 150+ points from the jury alone. As for the televote, it's better to have 10% of lovers and 90% of haters than be on everyone's 11th place - and there are quite a few die hard lovers of this out there.

I dunno if this will be in my top 10 when all the entries are selected, but right now this is my favourite. Nice ballad, I like ballads from Italy and it's a good one I think. The piano is lovely. 8 points!

It is very interesting to know different opinions. We are a community.
Usually I appreciate critics with analysis not just I don't like it.
Personally I try to understand the lyrics, analyze the composition and interpretation, the way the song is proposed to me, the singers attitude
I can understand why someone isn't connected with Fai rumore and someone has goosebumps. The only thing I don't understand is the comparison with other Italian entries or the ones which didn't win this year.

What's wrong if someone wants to compare this to other Italian entries?
What's wrong if someone wants to compare this to other Italian entries?
Nothing wrong.
But personally think that all the past italian partecipants are different and the Esc event changes every year ( some times ethno pop oriented or shake-your booty love or bake the cake or heartbreaking feelings, it depends). Maybe what was good for the past years isnt enough for this year. That is the magic of this contest.
For this reason i try not to compare them. By the way here is my ranking of Esc Italian songs from 2011 to 2020
1. Madness of Love
2. Soldi
3. Occidentalis Karma
4. Non mi avete fatto niente
5. L'amore è femmina
6. Fai rumore
7. L'essenziale
8. Nessun grado di separazione
9. Grande amore
10. La mia città

Why in this poll it's possible to see what members have given what points and on the other entries polls is not possible?

I've got them post Sanremo blues real bad today. My heart for some reason is longing extra hard for Dov'è. It gradually over the the five nights became my biggest grower of the festival. I went from enjoying Dov'è to crazy levels of loving it. There's something so comforting about the song. And it got stopped right before the final stretch to the finish line, just like our Loredana from last year 💔

After I listened to Fai Rumore again, I feel it's a good entry. Sounded pretty nostalgic as if it's from the late 90s-early 00s, but in a good way. The chorus plays a huge part on this song as the mood lifter, and the instrumentation is nice and non-distractive. It sounds nice and classic, even towards a complete hit, if you mind.

But there are still some questions in my mind:
1. In which half would they place Italy in the grand final? In my mind, 'Fai Rumore' would be best fit as a late opener (05-09). It's one of those song that I think better to be enjoyed while the contest is cooling down for just a bit. The bigger running order it got, I think the colder people would react to it.
2. Will 'Fai Rumore' become advantaged or victimized by the cut? With its 3:36 length it has its 100% absolute fucking full potential, but which part would the cut to preserve enough energy to be at 3:00? The second prechorus? All the prechorus? The bridge instrumental that hits papa @RainyWoods with such nostalgia? Or the last chorus? I'm worried this will be the real double edge for Italy.

DON'T TAKE MY NOSTALGIC DREAM POP BRIDGE AWAY. That's a moment. It needs to stay.

Maybe after the first chorus just go straight into the prechorus? What would be better though is if we finally changed the song length rule, even if it's just to an extra 30 seconds (personally I'd go for 4 minutes). Certain songs need their breathing space. The 3 minute limit really chokes them.
