After sleeping on it, I think my feelings for Fai rumore are still the same. I'm at 8-ish, 10-ish (will stick to the latter). It's a lovely piece of music that's going down a road we've travelled before but it has elements here that appeal to me very much personally. The Angelo Badalamenti Twin Peaks-esque synths and sense of mystery. This really could be your high school dance song from the very early 90s.

I think Diodato himself is the barrier here that stops me from going full on with my support. Bless his heart but he doesn't particularly thrill me too hard, something which I can say the opposite for when it comes to all the singers that made my legendary top 9 at this Sanremo. That's not to say he doesn't have his charms though as he really does. Wonderful gentleman with a powerful voice, but I miss a particular spark. I want to rough him up a bit almost, but then again his pureness ultimately perhaps does when thinking about it deeper add something to Fai rumore. I did describe the song as being that brief moment of rest as someone is being murdered outside (my Twin Peaks fantasy), so we need an angel to make us feel comforted if just for a moment as we cry into the shoulder of our lover whilst slow dancing.
in front of your sincere and polite comments I can not help but be silent and always give you reason!

Twin Peaks!!! Just am watching the new series. Need one last episode and I am thru. David Lynch - truly want to meet the man and ask him what he is dreaming about in the night.

Wheeew that season  Shockingly good. Lynch is my favourite filmmaker

I hope it's not just me though that can pick up that vibe from Fai rumore, and that I'm not going too crazy. That sad, nostalgic kind of dreamy romance I'm getting from it.

Absolutely right! In his new TP series he always adds his atmospheric songs at the end of an episode. I simply love those. Give me goosebumps everytime. Lynch is my most favorite filmmaker as well. Love especially "Lost highway". xheat Mysterious and enigmatic. And his music is iconic. I saw TP alrready when I was young and was very much into Hawk. xblush Even at his age now, he's ... phew.

I have only heard Fai Rumore in music video and wasn't really impressed but just saw live performance from San Remo and really like it. At least Italy is the best from chosen songs so far
A classic italian power ballad, may be not for high results on Eurovision or may be... 😏

Fai Rumore is a good song, Diodato gives a great interpretation of it! I actually enjoy the live version considerably more than the recorded version.
I am quite satisfied with Italy this year, but I still think there were better options - for me personally at least.
I fell instantly in love with Le Vibrazioni; Dove gave me goosebumps the very first time.
Rancore and his Eden would have been so cool - that one went straight to my latest playlist!
And like "everyone else" in here I would have been more than happy to see Elodie in Rotterdam.

More and more people will like it the following months and it's actually the first chosen entry that has potential for very high placing. However i still don't like it and it remains one of the worst SanRemo 2020 entries for me.

Are you also finding it strange that Eurovision's social media did not announce Diodato? 10 hours ago they had created a page for him on the official website with the Sanremo performance included but the page was deleted

Did Diodato actually tell the press he is going to Eurovision or was he just automatically announced as Italy's Eurovision entrant because he was one of the sixteen or so we were told had signed up or expressed interest (whatever it was) in going to the contest if they won?

The chorus is breath-taking and it's an all-round solid piece of music that works beautifully. I remember actually being really instantly moved by this song when I first heard it, was just preoccupied with stanning Achille Lauro and Levante. Now that I've given this my full attention and also listened to the lyrics, I totally get it. It's just a pretty, accessible song with a stunning, hitting chorus and a capable performer. It for sure has potential to be a special moment at Eurovision and do well.

So boring, absolutely nothing to say about this at all. I bet it will be overrated like every previous Italian entry though!

I'm really happy with one of my faves winning it all :D

Fai Rumore is a perfect, classy and emotional italian ballad, it ticks all the boxes of how the general public imagine Italy in the contest.
Diodato execute it well and has the right vocal range for it.
The only fear could be the 3 minute edit because of ESC rules

If everything goes right, another Top 10 is granted.
Juries should like this gem

Didn't follow San Remo, so this is the only song i know of. Italy remains my favorite country in Eurovision, there's not a song i dislike coming from them. Fai Rumore is no exception. I don't think i like it as much as previous entries (at least the 3 last ones), but then again i only heard it once and the chorus got instantly stuck in my head.

I'll give it a 10 for now as there are still way too many songs to be revealed.

Quoting myself. It's a 12. Can't stop listening to it 🥰
