I loooove Soldi. My favourite of the already known entries (and I´ve been listining to his work, and it´s amazing).

But this would be EPIC as well:

It would be amazing too because she was amazing but SanRemo had many good songs and only one of them can be in Eurovision! :(

Don't remind me of her … it still hurts cause she was my No. 1. The song is epic and one of my all time fave songs already.

I don't think this will win Eurovision. Top 5 at most. He'll do well with the juries for sure but I don't think the televoters will be as keen on this. If I remember correctly he only came 7th with the televoters in Sanremo?

It could definitively happen. From what I see on this forum and my own feelings toward this entry, it needs a few listen to fully enjoy it. People who will only see his performance once won't be as likely to vote for it.

Other entries won thanks to jury votes in the past. It wouldn't be the first one. Italian entries dominated the televotes in recent years but juries spoiled their chance of winning. Might be the opposite this year. Who knows?

As an italian, I hope he can win, but not saying he is going to win. There are so many variables which can determine a win or not.
Look at the last year, nobody was thinking that very generic ESC style songs ( AUstria and Germany ) could reach top 2 with the juries.
It dependes what he0s going to bring on stage and the way to be faster receptive by the public.
Last year Ermal and Fabrizio did it perfectly ( i remember all the critics considering the writtings very cheesy, like a cheap powerpoint ).
On the other hand, France did the contrary. The "famous" ESC fan move hand didn't help them, even though all in the arena were doing it.
Italy and France last year had very good songs, for me worthy of top 5, but fore some unknown variables they reached different placings.
I think that the juries are the most unpredicable variables and i suppose, if John Lundwik wins, this year jury will go again with Sweden.

You're certainly right, things could go either way. I hope Italy wins soon, you deserve it. IMO Italy was the rightful winner in 2015, heh... I am certain that within 5 years from now your time will have come, whether it's with Mahmood or someone else.

This entry might be in top 5 in the end, but a,m not so sure if it can win. It is not my favorite entry this ESC, but still better than many other weak entries. If the rest stays that weak, then Italy might be a contender.

Salvador Sobral lost the televote both on the semi-final (3rd place) and final (2nd). So there´s hope for Mahmood. :D

What's interesting with Italy's comeback to ESC is that initially they were a jury sweetheart (kind of like Australia), but after some years it's clear the public is more onboard with Italy than juries even when they sent good entries. I am not sure as to why this is but I find it quite interesting.

46% of 12 points is super impressive! If Eurovision happened now this would win by landside. Imo is a great song; a great winner? I’ve got my doubts.

We won't win.

Italy winning Eurovision, today or in 100 years, is just wishful thinking.
