well I downloaded the performances that I liked from youtube before they eliminated. The Rai broadcasts regularly in HD and 4k but does not do it on YouTube.
I think the only justification is that he wants us to use his Raiplay portal in HD, in short, an advertising issue

Whatever political import the chosen song has or doesn't have I prefer the Simone Cristicchi song and also the effort from Nek which has grown on me (it may have been even better as a duet) for the music in them.
