Wow, I was not expecting Italy to make a decision this quick. We usually don't hear about it until the end of the San Remo festival.

If it is true, maybe we'll get to hear her song at the festival.

But if Emma is really going to represent Italy, I hope they won't choose La mia citta. It's not a bad song, but as I said, it's one of Emma's weakest songs.

I like "La Mia Citta" its got a good chorus and I really like the verses too. One the rare songs these days where the verses aren't weak as hell. In other words it doesn't feel like a cut and paste song ;). While it may not be one of Emma's best it still really good, she's not competing against herself she's competing against others! It's got a lot of energy and will make a great live performance. It's time Italy show some real energy on stage xcheer

So many people these days go around calling songs brilliant because they got a great chorus but completely ignore how piss poor the verses are (Lady Gaga:rolleyes:). Composers these days only seem to concentrate on the choruses and middle eights while filling in the verses at the end xdoh True the Beatles and ABBA had brilliant choruses but Paul/John and Benny/Bjorn didn't let the rest of the song suffer just to get a great chorus! I like how this song feels full xcheer

I enjoyed the song a lot at first listening and I'm surprised, as I had checked her wining song in San Remo or somewhere earlier today and wasn't interested. It's just like GWTW1939 says, it does feel unusually full.

She is charismatic, the song is well, but I prefer other kind of song from :it:.

She's been rumored every year since Italy returned. Its great they finally decided to go for it and send her xcheer

As I said I would like Italy to choose their act via San Remo. Nevertheless, Emma is a perfect choice. With almost any of her songs she would be a huge contender for the victory. Way to go :D

I think she's the best young singer in Italy and that "La mia città" (Wrote by herself) is her greatest song. It's pop-rock, she comes from elettro-rock indipendent music and she hopes to come back to this kind of music(I love it). Her band was called MJUR, you can find them on Youtube.
She has a great band too, with a special drummer: Mylious Johnson who performed with Pink, Madonna, Tiziano Ferro, Jovanotti, Gianna Nannini and Giorgia.
She can be fantastic on stage, I can't add video to the post but you should see her performances in her last tour: amazing.
She's good in raggamuffin too, this is the summer hit "Dimentico tutto" re-mastered in raggamuffin version with a rap part in her slang (She comes from Salento, in the extreme south of Italy, amazing place).

A big problem is her english: she must improve it.

I just hope they don't change their minds as to the choice of song. Ukraine and Belarus are notorious in that field, but I shall per sempre remember what they did in 2012 IOTAP
