Israeli song has been approved by EBU... Interesting.. It will be in English to spread the message better and a line in Hebrew...

The song leaked on twitter, sounds weak to me.
Not sure if its the song they picked or just one of those that they were considering tho

Yuval's song reportedly will be trilingual (English, French and Hebrew). She lived in :ch: Geneva for a few years when she was young and speaks decent French as a result.

The song is called "New Day Will Rise"

I think we can change the title of this thread ;)

According to Israeli news outlet Walla, one of the professional committee members said the song has no direct linkage to the ongoing war. The song is said to be a power ballad with a message of hope for a better future.
Based on Yuval Raphael’s story, the song may include the words “sun” or “sun rise” in its lyrics.

Sorry but the title and short description just sound like the blandest "love love peace peace" song we can imagine, I fear that ut will reach the highest level of the Måns-o-meter.
Something something, peace will come, something something peace will come.
That blind lady from.... Georgia? I remember she was nice.

She was a Chechnyan refugee wasn't she? And we were right in the middle of escalating tensions between Russia and Georgia, or else the invasion had already started. All Georgia got was a massive d table finish and Russia won. And this was on the pure televote era.

Yes, haters can finally decide between the two
options they had:

„How dare Israel send a song about XXX (please fill in) when there‘s a war going on!“

and

„How dare Israel send a song about the war that’s going on.“

:mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:
I'm looking at the titles of the English language entries from the other countries. If Israel sent them, I can see it easily being interpreted as political as well.

How much time do we have left - obviously war related.
What the hell just happened? - war happened that's what.
Poison Cake - yes..
Lighter - obviously
Survivor - yep...
Run With U - a clear refugee song
Wasted Love - yep
Kiss Kiss Goodbye - goodbye to peace

Milkshake Man - okay this one I'm 50/50 on. Is Israel a big dairy exporter?

As far as I've noticed, way less hype was generated for Israel than before.

Shocking news! - I think I saw her walking around/working when I attended the ESCs in Baku/Malmö/Copenhagen.... she was clearly a powerhouse in Eurovision for years.
