Israel act had mega bad camera angles, dancers were like a flies that were barely seen. Also no show when dancers beat the floor with hearth beat rhythm and many many many fails

I pointed that out during the performance as well. Just when they did their fierce little dance routine the cameras were out in the hall focusing on the audience!?? Those camera guys should get a f***ing clue.

Whatever, even though her performance was fierce, I never really liked the song so it's not a big loss imo.

Yes, they have no clue how to effectively show any performance with movement....like Estonia and Israel being huge casualties of this.

Problem is that all Scandinavian entries had good camera angles.

You're a mean one Mr Grinch

just pointing out that just because your song didn't qualify doesn't mean nobody likes you. The same excuse was used for Malta when they had a bad run and they're doing fine with neighbors or friendly voting.

Any country withdrawing because they don't do we gotcha few years won't get any sympathy. The Netherlands is laughing at everyone.

I feel sorry for Israel, but the non-qualification was deserved imo. I've never really understood the hype and high rankings in the OGAE. It screamed flop since the very beginning. The performance wasn't something appealing to the masses either and the early draw was just a nail in the coffin.

Well, as many here I'm still kinda shocked. I really imagined Israel would go through to the final without much trouble this year.
Her performance wasn't flawless and maybe she tried too hard, but hey there were other performences tonight that need perfecting and went through. It's a pitty, really.

As for her husky voice, I actually think is one of her best qualities as a singer. Maybe she'll take part in the competition again in the future. I wish her all the best in her career.

The recent years the history has imprpve that many countries which do great in OGAE flops in ESC :/. Although I srael deserved to qualify and IMO to win the semi, I think that it's not the block votes cause there wasn't many blocks in this semi but the running order...

Well the true reason Turkey withdraw is still a complete enigme to me for they always (with ONE exception) had great results in the years before thex quit. So blockvoting couldn't have been the reason.
But even if I understand the frustration very well, withdrawing would be the worst solution. Look at the Netherlands: for years they have tried and got a lot of frustration and now for the second time in a row they made it to the final.

This is such a shame. I don´t know, why Israel failed yesterday. It was a great show, a good singer. The same procedure as last year.

There wasn’t a block voting, it just didn’t impressed the audience, left them indifferent. An act need to provoke a feeling not leave you indifferent. At least that ridiculous Belarus dance provoked amusement, Israel didn’t provoked anything at first impression (and most viewers saw it for the first time last night) Switzerland act was pretty cool with that whistle, you remember it. So one song was funny (Belarus), another was cool (Swizerland), another impressive (Austria) ,another was beautiful (Norway), another " lol...what's this?" (Poland) etc.. but Israel? nothing .... you cannot find a proper word to describe their act.

later edit: I have nothing against Israel, my vote wasn't political (I voted for Norway and Malta), I really didn't enjoy Israel performance. Whether you believe me or not, I'm honest and I understand why Israel didn't reach the final, why wasn't appealing for the public. I'm a bit curious about how the juries voted, because is different, they didn't saw it for the first time, like most of the audience.

Not surprise, Eurovision = Politics, Israel has nothing to do with this contest anymore and I pray we will withdraw. Plus, not even gonna watch the final for the first time, cause ESC is out of my head. 10 out of 15 and Israel is not among them, must be a joke, maybe we came last, poor EUROPE!

I told myself every year. I believed Dana didn't do much, I believed Izabo were a trash, I believed Moran had so bad dress, I believed Mei deserved to be in top3 in the finals, and if she didn't make it in this semi, Israel has nothing to do there. So don't tell me to grow up, just face the truth about this poor contest that has NOTHING TO DO WITH MUSIC!

Yes, there is more than music in this contest. You telling me? I am Spanish, my country has suffered a lot the block voting as well. I loved Moran, and her non qualifying was a really big surprise. I love Mei, but I admit that her performance yesterday was not her best at all; performing 2nd and horrible camara work did the rest.

I had always thought that the first semi-final was much better, but yesterday I realised that I was wrong, in my opinion. For me there were 10 acts which deserved qualifying: the ones that did (except Belarus, which in fact I kind of liked as well) and Israel. Pitifully enough my favourite didn't get through, but hey, saying that "this poor contest has NOTHING TO DO WITH MUSIC" is too much, as none of the qualifiers are really crap (as it has been in the past).
